Is equalisation, smoothing out the AFL's inequities, really welfare?I'm staggered that we are still on "welfare".
Why? We had to find $5mil net to break even and get off all Sanf and Afl handouts when we left Footy Park. We are off Sanfl handouts but not Afl handouts yet.I'm staggered that we are still on "welfare".

So how does he get $2 per attendee? $300k must have been the "KFC tax " for Adelaide I saw in the list in the Weekend Oz. That's $0.60 per attendee as Adelaide will get 500,000 for 11 games and about 460,000 this year when they only play 10 games. The article states that it is the equalisation levy/tax

You are only looking at one side of the equation. As we grow we have costs. We have probably employed net 20 new people since the end of 2012 to handle growth.Surely we've found it? 60k membership. Increased corporate sponsorship, increased corporate increased merch, increased, increased, increased, increased.
I know we are coming from a long way back, I know we've spent a lot more too, the SMA are campaigners, blah, blah, blah, but I'd love to know where we sat on all of these metrics compared to other sides?
Is it creative accounting on Koch's behalf?

All that game day stuff we do at AO that we didnt do at Footy Park costs $$. There are increased costs everywhere.

Renault and EA got in when we would have been dirt cheap. Next time around our major sponsors will be forking out more. And the stadium deal gets better next year. And once we've finished paying back the license costs (again) to the SNAFL that's no longer dead money. We're headed towards sustainability, but not quite there yet.Do you know where we sit in comparison to other clubs in terms of membership sales/corporate sales/ sponsorship etc REH? I know I'm only looking on that side of the equation but I struggle to see how we are anywhere near all those other loser clubs on welfare these days. Do the other bigger clubs not have similar costs as we do? Hovercrafts can't be that cheap can they?
The club hid our figures so we cant bench mark. But you should spend time reading and remembering the Wookie's thread and break down's of almost all other 17 clubs as he has list in the first post of this thread.Do you know where we sit in comparison to other clubs in terms of membership sales/corporate sales/ sponsorship etc REH?
