No doubt. He even talks while he's punting as well.
Actually I wonder who of our players is the biggest chatter boxes? Or which few?

Yet there were pictures of Kirby during the post GF break in what appeared to be a private gym which to me says more about his attitude than dropping 9 seconds in comparative time trials. Glass 1/2 full, glass 1/2 empty.
Excellent. Hopefully they’re as good as their old man was.10 years old....resemble the old man to a tee!!

Going well. He's still very slight imo but you can see that he's got 'it'thanks champ....hows he looking?
When has Kirby suggested midfield aspirations? Wasn't aware of that.
At least berg is showing improvement. 9 seconds better than Novemeber.Sorry was meaning Scharenberg.
Toumpas lacked pace (and wasn't adept inside the contest against the bigger bodies) which found him out at the top level not lacking in overall talent, a bit like Aish really in a lot of ways (in terms of having no stand out weapons and lacking pace although I rate aish higher).
Freeman is no good because his hammys are no good not because he lacks talent to play the game.
Skill goes hand in hand with talent, typically if you see someone very skilled you would say they have talent.
The rest are athletic traits, desire to succeed (Toumpas questionable here), ability to win the ball. etc.
I bet you weren’t saying that re Toumpas 3 years ago...
It ain’t Freeman’s hammies that held him back in 2017. He doesn’t have “it” and won’t make it regardless of his fitness or athletic gifts.
It’s all about talent for those two or a lack thereof. Which is my subjective view
Edit: the more I ponder this the more silly I feel for spinning my wheels on it. From my perspective rating a guy drafted at 57 only 15 months ago who’s shown a bit at both levels, but nothing amazing as lacking/ having no talent is premature not necessarily incorrect. Whereas you and no spin are approaching it as “his surname is Daicos that’s blasphemy” hell for perspective you were red hot that he debut rd 1 2017 so your view is as extreme as unnamed non-rater and I have to step away from the discussion.

He did both knees whilst warming up on his first day, and as he went to reach for the knees he put both shoulders out, thanks for recommending him.
Varcoe seems to be in the rehab group at the moment. On Friday he did nothing but run. Goldy played in defence in the mathc sim.ANyone seen where Varcoe been lining up in the match simulations at training?
Also be keen to know where Goldsack been slotted.
He was there on Monday, but my heart sank a tad when he came over and spoke to the trainers about his leg and started demonstrating some twists. I would have preferred some turns.Good to hear. It would be nice if he got an extended run at it, so that we could actually find out if he can play or not.
Hey Mazzarjo, thanks for the training reports, they are much appreciated. Based on what you have seen so far in terms of drills and match simulations, what game plan changes do you think we might see from the coach in 2018?He was there on Monday, but my heart sank a tad when he came over and spoke to the trainers about his leg and started demonstrating some twists. There is still good footy in Varcoe IMHO but he would be one coming up for review at season's end. My thoughts are he will be on the list next year but may be in the experienced depth type category if he doesn't get back to his best. He is best 22 when on and fit and precluding not too many going past him.Doesn't sound great for varcoe. He's probably in his last year, even if his body stands up.
This is incorrect - Actually I completely dismissed the link to " DAICOS" in my post #1600 in the Pre-season 2018 thread.
Excellent. Hopefully they’re better than their old man was.
Sorry was meaning Scharenberg.
I see him staying in defence. He is a decent kick and is learning to play on taller opponents.I can see Schaz playing through the midfield. It's likely the one area where his lack of pace isn't exposed.

It's possible. It will be interesting to see if Langdon and Scharenberg can exist in the same side. That'll be his role in the short term but I think longer term the midfield beckons. Time will tell.
