Can she cook and iron?
That's a tautology.
Using the term 'she' means that we're referring to a women, which means she can obviously cook and iron. :p

2-1 and a huge percentage boost early in the season, 4th on the ladder, we will be mad to give this up, its almost a dream start considering critics expected us with a 0-4 start.

So if we keep winning 2 out of every 3 games, we be a great chance for a top 4
finish.

Another else having a slight hope now?.. I couldn't bare to see us drop all this...
WAY WAY WAY to early to call. We only played 3 games and we could have been 0-3.

I still think we will get injuries to key players down the track and out depth will be tested. It would be a massive achievement if we make the 8.

Even better stil! Then theres only 2 unwinable games.

No ill be kicking myself if don't make the eight this year, as Ill keep reminding myself, by round 3 we were 4th and on fire, now what has happened.

1996 won the first 5 games I believe, then look what happened, just let it all drop. When was the last time, Crows had a pretty good start like this ?

Hi everyone!

Personally I would rather play the top teams in the competition than avoid them. The best part of beating a top team like brisbane is the feeling that you deserve to be part of the best and that you deserve to be in the finals AND most importantly win the finals. If we cannot overcome such hurdles I really don't believe we deserve to win, after all the finals is a reflection of the best teams in the competition. You don't get there by beating the bottom teams. I for one do feel a great sense of satisfaction when we play well and win against a side who are much superior than us. It is a great admission and a telling factor that our side belongs in the top!

Cheers :D Hope to have great times here!
Welcome on board AC.
Just a word of warning, the natives on this board are all excited at the moment, so a bit of caution is advisable.
And, almost forgot, if you come across anyone that looks like this, do not trust them, looks can be deceiving. :D

I was skeptical about how we would go and thought somewhere between 8 and 14 - given the uncertainties of injuries, development of the newer players, plus the fortunes good and bad of the other sides.

I was disappointed with the way we played v Eagles but heard lots of postives in various corners of the media etc -so maybe I misjudged that game. Despite being an ordinary game and MM's commnets I thought the C'wood game was pretty good.

I now think that this season might not turn out as everyone thought. So I say expect the unexpected - as for the Crowsw now -still dont know - seemingly to me - between 6 and 10.

i still think anywhere between 7-12 depending on injuries, form etc
too early too tell - anyway we beat Port last year in the 1st showdown too

Take it easy mate, there's only been 3 games.

Hardly anyone seems to care if we make the finals or not, I'll rather it be more than just a money-making team.

As I said before, lets forget the last 3 games, and concentrate in winning the next 2 out of 3 games.

The players can do it, Neil Craig can do it, its just the motivation.

One game at a time & let the finals take care of themselves young fella. :)

It's not a question of caring mate, it's a question of expectation.

It's like when NC says we aim to play in the finals, and R**ci writes it up as though we are expecting to play in the finals.

Do I care if we make the finals in 2005? Yes. I will be delighted if we do, but not devastated if we don't because after all it is really only a 50-50 proposition. And all things considered, whether we finish 7th or 10th will not be the measure of our success this season, it will be how we play, how we develop our style of play, and most importantly how we develop our playing list.

I'd rather finish 10th with all the pieces coming together, including some serious game time and development of the younger players, than 7th on the back of a strong effort from the "old guard".
