Harris in the runs, 52 followed by 122*.

Honestly should be the opener first Test.

Harsh on a champion like little Davey, he deserves to go out on his own and that’s in Sydney next year.

Anything less and you’ll upset Candice.

Nah she's already got the first class flights for the holidays

Our selectors don’t think like that

Especially if you are one of the boys. How on earth Hazelwood wasn’t told “you play county cricket and then we’ll see”. Instead he’s allowed to go to the IPL for goodness knows reason

Yeah it amazes me Luke just stupid by CA

Yet why does it seem so obvious to us yet CA make really dumb decisions he can’t last long form anymore. Neser is in outstanding form just play him

Would Neser be in front of Boland, perhaps Boland should have played some county cricket as well.Neser is the better batsman though.BUT agree Hazelwood should not be in the test team because of his injury issues.

Yeah are we surprised ??

Well for me the risk is too great out for the World test final and the the first two ashes tests.

He has missed so much FC cricket

He gets injured bowling 4 overs in a t20…how do you recon he’s going to go bowling 40 in a test match then backing up. It’s not rocket science

Personally you could easily play both. That should be the option

So you are leaving Starc out.Paceman Cummins,Boland and Neser.

Correct. It’s purely conditions based but you lose nothing in batting with Neser and Starc’s form in England isn’t great. Air speed is not the be all end all there. Woakes is unplayable in England at times and he’s medium fast at best

Yes you can argue that but Boland has recently played test cricket in india and has played the backend of the shield and the final. So he has form to fall back on...so I am happy for him not playing county and preparing with the squad

Hazelwood on the other hand  flown over to India coming back from an injury then flown back after picking up another injury..just doesn't make sense

Why he didn't play a round of county games is beyond me ...and with the schedule being so tight there is no opportunities to play FC to gain some form/fitness. Going into a huge series with no FC is a major risk/gamble...we saw when morris came back for shield final (after sitting on his arse for months ...another F**k up by CA) that he struggled with no balls and supposedly pick up an injury.

Bad management by CA IMO

With the schedule being so tight just makes you wonder with Marcus Harris being in the squad and early tests most likely not being selected that he would be better off still playing county. Neser as well if he is added to the squad but misses out on the 11.

I would play Starc in certain games, most notably the oval and potentially Lords.

No bowler will play all tests well they shouldn’t at least

Cummins will you’d think, Lyon a fair chance. But yes, the others will rotate.

Lyon yes. Meant to say quick bowlers. Cummins might bring the captain but we shouldn’t force it there.

Smith can get the gig when we are 2-0 down and Cummins is shitting the bed
