to all those predicting a draw in Adelaide - remember the oval has been dug up since cricket was last played there. there will be a brand new drop in pitch and nobody knows how it will play. very unlikely to be the usual Adelaide run fest.

The first game on it would say you may be wrong

Australia 3-1

Most runs
Australia - Rogers
England - KP

Most Wickets
Australia - Siddle
England - Broad

Harris to breakdown in Melbourne
Johnson to be dropped for Melbourne Test
Bailey to fail and be replaced by Wade after Haddin announces he is retiring after final test.
Warner & Rogers to bed down opening partnership

Trott to be dropped by Melbourne
KP to be fined for an off-field indiscretion
Prior to drop twice as many catches as Haddin (will keep a running tally of this during the series)

Some more predictions from me- George Bailey to average 50+ for the series (fair few not outs), Mitchell Johnson to hit a ton at some stage (Adelaide is my guess), Haddin to break a finger and be replaced by Tim Paine (would prefer Hartley), Australia to win 2-1 with wins in Perth and Melbourne, England to win Sydney

Top runscorer series: Cook- 612 runs
Top wicket taker series: Swann 26 wickets

I just don't have any faith in our batsmen being able to produce consistently decent totals. Clarke is our only gun batsman - and even he is underdone and probably not completely healthy. All the other batsmen have question marks over one thing or another. England, on the other hand, have proven Test-class batsmen in Cook, Trott, Pietersen and Bell. Bell might not be able to maintain his form from the last series, but it'is worrying that none of the first three played anywhere near their best over there and yet we still lost 3-0. You would think that they are aren't all going to underperform at the same time again.

If Harris stays fit then I expect that our bowling will be OK, as it was in England. I just can't trust the batting until more players show that they can step up when called upon.

I think we'll win one Test as we are playing at home, in our conditions and I find it hard to believe that we could go 10 Tests against them without picking up a win somewhere. But England to win the series 2-1.

Australia must win this 1st Test to have a chance of winning the series.

We all saw what the narrow 1st Test loss at Nottingham did to Australia's morale.
