Would Robbie be interested in coaching the forwards? Smart fella
No. You can't teach what Robbie has.

That they (read: Hinkley) aren't willing to get Schulz in to refine goal kicking technique or just that Bassett has been allowed to pursue a forward strategy that has made little sense for a majority of the past few years suggests we don't actually care about how things actually work in our forward line. Just get it in and the goals will come looks to be our philosophy.

Have a look at his lovefest interview on 360 from a week ago. He wants to ride this gravy train for as long as possible.

Where else is a bloke of his ilk going to get another job paying 600/800k a year, with perks coming out the yazoo?

"You want to take 'Perks' as a suppository?"

^^^^ I guess its easier to just throw out #hashtags rather than discuss the merits of potential appointments.

I for one think he would be a good appointment... young, highly regarded as an assitant, thrown a crapshoot at Essendon, but plenty to offer a club moving forward.

Yes you can.

You can absolutely teach lifting the eyes, looking for options, not panicking, placing yourself where the ball will be rather than where you want it to be etc. etc.

Coming from Gray it also has credence.

Now if SPP wanted to teach that, it would be different.

Rutten was highly rated at Richmond as an assistant coach, but he is another defender/defensive coach.
The flipside is that Rutten seemed to be able to get Essendon attack but not defend.

Could be a good counter to Ken..

Though it could be argued that the attack only mindset at Essendon was there before Rutten too.

5AA rumour flashing up on my facebook feed with Rowie suggeting "don't be surprised if Rutten is at Port next year".
As defence coach would be great. Was Richmond's defence coach in 2017. Actually was defence coach for the 2015-18 seasons
