A succession plan sounds like a good idea as long as it's for 2024. I think Carr could be another Hardwick.

It's hard to get assistant coaches to move interstate. Carr and the rest of our ex players have that connection. It's an easy solution to the problem.
Also, I prefer ex players. Hinkley shows the danger of outsiders who don't understand the club and its expectations.

- why would he take the bombers job now rather than stay on for a lame duck year?
- why give Hinkley another year then?
- why would Ken show any commitment during a succession play?
