Carr's done a good apprentiship and coached his own side to success and has impressed everyone at Freo the last 3 years. Would make a very good head coach if he gets a chance.

Why do we solely recruit ex port players?

It's hard to get assistant coaches to move interstate. Carr and the rest of our ex players have that connection. It's an easy solution to the problem.

Also, I prefer ex players. Hinkley shows the danger of outsiders who don't understand the club and its expectations.
