Australia has a clear and distinct culture.

Defined by excellence, larrinkinsim, outdoorsness, layaboutism and mateship.

Funny because if that’s true I didn’t see any of it on display in these little marches that took place today.

We are notoriously good humoured and laughable.

Again it was all hate and anger from what I saw so those marchers must not exhibit this “Australian culture”

You meet an Australian anywhere in the world and they will be more laid back and funny than the European or US counterparts. We are a symbol of excellence.

I’m not so sure that can be backed up with facts. Per capita we rank 25th on Nobel Laureates, out of the top 20 on patent applications, about 40th on Olympic medals per capita. Take away mining from GDP and it’s pretty bleak.

Cathy Freeman who was abused by the same types marching today for daring to carry an indigenous flag, or Ian Thorpe who was bullied by similar people for being gay, who had to come out in another country as he was too afraid to do it Australia?

While yes other places do have beaches, it is the most ingrained in our culture. Not some place for beach bars, tourists or a place you spend a weekend in the summer, we are connected with the coast, so much so that we have the most developed coastline metropolitan in the world, we walk to it barefoot and grab a coffee overlooking it. I could go on.

The white Nationalists were front and centre of the Marches. At the Sydney March led at the front and carried the banner, they made at least 3 speeches all mentioning the need to create a “white Australia”. In Brisbane they chanted “bring back white Australia” along with most of the crowd.

These guys were a centrepiece of the marches today and you can’t deny that.

Its often impossible to prove causation. And in fact its quite common that its the case. The absence of evidence doesn't mean it doesn't exist for many valid reasons.

Often impossible to prove causation seems awfully convenient for you. You’re right that the absence of evidence doesn’t disprove anything but the existence of evidence showing a clear cause to same things your correlation relate to kinda do. You keep ignoring them though.

The issue with these sorts of rallies is that every fringe group jumps on board. Didn't matter who organised it, these groups were always jumping up front and centre to get there point across. For them its all about capturing a possible audience and gain as much support as possible.

The Sovereign Citizens are a good example and they were out and about as well, a few photos of Adelaide show people holding banners with Dezi Freeman. Just an example of a group that jump on the band wagon.

Anyway all the groups are there today.
