The leaders of these movements are predators. Human beings naturally seek connection, belonging and purpose, and these groups find people who are lacking that, and prey on them.

I’d be interested to know how many people attending this march work full time, have a good support network of friends and family, and a hobby or two. I’d hypothesise that a large chunk of them do not.

This is what I’ve argued for a long time. Australian culture never existed. I’d challenge anyone to present to me examples of Australian culture that don’t involve drinking, BBQ, or Beaches. Australia as a white society has existed at the doing of the English. Any ‘culture’ here comes directly from the UK in the sense that it’s been passed down or inherited.

I’d probably argue that the only thing unique to Australia is AFL. The only place it’s played in the works professionally. The culture of Australia exists in the indigenous culture. That’s the culture of Australia. It’s the culture that white Australia chooses to ignore.
