The only thing that should be off the table for banning is discussion.
Couldn't agree more.

I get the impression that many are averse to robust discussion, don't want to flesh it out - have it out to find the why's / opinions and then point out the good / bad.

People claim 'let's not give nazis free speech', the problem is EVERYONE has a right to free speech including the nazis. And they get shown to be the antithesis to a liberal democratic harmonic society, they don't fit in / belong, every time.

They say their vile whatever, get arrested and then the judicical system fails with over lenient punishment, every time.

I really don't understand the fear of letting the 'other side' have their say, it should be a useful tool to show up why the 'other side' is wrong.

Agree, the recent Australian federal election highlighted this point well.
I get that Sky After Dark has instructed you to believe that voters emphatically rejected the Coalition because they're stupid and don't know what's good for them. That you've swallowed this and are now regurgitating it in this forum isn't surprising. What is slightly surprising is that right wing politicians and leaders also appear to also hold this opinion. This naive unworldliness (some might call it bloody minded stupidity) is just one of the many reasons why they are driving themselves to extinction in this country.

I don't think they're being bloody minded or stupid. They're simply chasing personal gain at the expense of the rest of us, and are cynically doing as they're told by their overlords who hold their purse strings. Unfortunately, they've been pulling the same grift for long enough that more and more people are waking up to it. Not you of course.

So ol' Sewer rat wants to go all helter skelter on somebody. Tick tick tick.

Neo-Nazis’ chilling threats as government investigates homeschooling network

The newly freed leader of Australia’s largest neo-Nazi group has vowed violent revenge, and one of his chief lieutenants has threatened a state MP, as the Victorian government investigates concerns the group is running an illegal homeschooling network.

A government probe into the secretive “mothers’ groups” of the neo-Nazi National Socialist Network (NSN) has enraged the group – on Monday, a threat made against government minister Gabrielle Williams by group member Jimeone Roberts was reported to parliamentary security and will be referred to police after Williams expressed concern about NSN homeschooling.

On a livestream last week, NSN leader Thomas Sewell vowed to “make an example” of his enemies in Australia that would make the murderous rampage and planned race war of Charles Manson’s cult “look moderate”, in some of his first public comments since he was released on bail last month.

A subsequent post by the former personal trainer railing against the government probe read: “Newton’s Third Law might be that ‘every action has an equal and opposite reaction’ but Jimbo’s First Law is ‘f--- around and find out’.”
Sewell and his neo-Nazis have been seeking to rebrand nationally as “everyday Australians” concerned for their children while they move to form a political party called “White Australia”. But online their rhetoric is escalating as they aggressively recruit angry, young men for their “race war” and “network” with overseas extremists.

“I’m still really angry and like when we win ... here in Australia, I’m going to make an example,” Sewell said. “I’m going to do shit that’s never been done before. I’m going to do crazy shit … I want to make [Manson’s] Helter Skelter look like a moderate when we win. I’m telling you, these people are going to suffer for what they’ve done.” His fiancee, Rebecca Konstantinou, works as a behaviour consultant in schools with children affected by trauma and disability, though she told a court last month she was currently on leave to care for her two children with Sewell.

In mid-2024, Sewell told followers that if the government started making threats to take the children of those in the NSN, there would be violence. “That’s the line in the sand,” he said. “That’s when I become a terrorist. If you take my child off me, I’m going to start killing people. And I’m going to encourage every single person that I know to also start killing people that are responsible, starting with probably the police and the judges that ordered for a child to come off one of us.”

They just cannot help but go mental with the physical threats.

Also Sewell is effectively saying Aboriginal people should start killing people in government over the stolen generations.
