Finally someone from seemingly inside the tent has spoken out - and good luck to him for doing so.

It would appear to be pretty clear to me that CA is heading down the wrong track here - but no one seems to see it or care.

Big Bash is not going to generate the cash they think it will.

If you are a cricket lover - this is really starting to get to the scary stage.

just had a read and it is starting to become very concerning....money talks.

taking the big bash to privately owned teams was always going to cause problems...i dont see how if the big bash teams are privately owned that the contracts of shield speciallists would drop

I hope the public see sense and refuse to turn up to this bullshit league. The only way to change things is with our feet! I haven't come across a single person who likes the idea yet, so thats a good sign. Yesterday when I saw we had signed Birt, Cameron and Rimmington I thought great that should see us become a force in the Big Bash, we might have a chance of some silverware for the first time in a long while, then I remembered it's gone!

geez did i read that right? 25 grand pay cut for the top shield players (assuming they are not t20 donkeys as well). is that right? thats a pretty hefty cut. whats wrong with these muppets? we've obviously got too many proper cricket players and need to cull a load off:rolleyes:

Can someone please explain to me why we are going down this path (ie. hiving of T20 from our State based teams) because I can't work it out.

Jim Brayshaw has been asked to be chair of the Renegades - I hope he looks deep into his soul and thinks about how he would have fared when he was playing - and then opts out.

CA should rather got behind a T20 Championship that was club based, that would inject money and future into club teams from around Australia while still maintaining the original Big Bash format.

Another addition would be a rule to limit the amount of T20 competitions that a player can actually play in.
