I send friends of mine random Australian gifts that live overseas every Christmas and birthday. For Christmas I tend to send out Australian calendars of landmarks, wildlife (or just parade Hawthorn in front of them by sending a Hawthorn calendar). for the most part toy koala's, kangaroos, possums (one person even begged me to find and send a stuffed Quokka over to her, which I did lol).

I have also given samples of Australian food, but in small doses - don't want to overload them BUT also giving food as a present is kind of lame imo, once you eat it the food is gone and nothing is left to show for the present itself (other than good or bad feedback from the experience of eating it).
