Awesome tasty things you put on toast

Favourite chips thread has inspired me to wonder what other people put on one of life's great pleasures...toast.

For me nothing beats a couple slices of pana casa or sour dough bread toasted with avocado, tomato and leg ham, sprinkled with plenty of white pepper on them.

Then there's the old favs like peanut butter and jam, vegemite and cheese, tuna and cheese etc etc..

I'd like some new ideas. Something I've never put on toast before.

Any weird and wonderful suggestions toast lovers?

Vegemite....and honey. Not bad at all. Works even better on plain white bread. No butter/marge.

If you are doing the full toasted sandwich - try putting some mushrooms on. A little scrape of butter while cooking (I know! ) and the mushies come up a treat. And don't need anything else.

Love crispy toasted garlic bread, heat in microwave for a minute then place under grill.

Used to toast the bread, then make a full salad sandwich with it (or toast afterwards if you have one of those open grill things). Massively underrated
