Both similar players in height and physique.

From the same draft, picks 14 (Cordy) and 8 (Vickery). Vickey was thrown in much earlier so has played 54 games to Cordy's 9.

Who would you rather?

This isn't really fair. I don't think Vickery would win a poll against Jake Spencer at the moment.

Correct, I would vote for Spencer over Vicks right now, I would vote for anybody over Vickery right now in the hope that Murphy's Law rears up and turns his form slump around just to make me look like a tit.

Vickery could still be a very good player but he's playing like a shitman at the moment. Cordy has surprised me. I thought he'd always be too skinny, but he's taken some good marks this year.

It happens to young players. I really rate Vickery and was impressed watching him in the 2008 champs at Casey, as well as last year.

Our Trengove looks a shadow of what he did in his first year, but I know he'll turn his form around. You just have to trust your own eyes and we know we've seen them previously perform, so there's no reason they won't develop like we know they can.

Most supporters suspect Trengove is playing with groin issues, but once you cross the white line ...

Give it five minutes...

Vickery's having a shit spell. Cordy's never put together a good spell.
Both have talent but are very, very up & down.

Ayce cordy hasn't really had the chance to be up and down yet. Has played 9 games.

Too early to tell IMO.

It will be interesting to see how this poll progresses. As I said, both are talented and have almost identical physiques.

Both have been managed differently- Richmond put Vickery in early while we went softly softly with Cordy.

From here on in we'll see which method has worked in this instance.

i have liked the way cordy has played while being a beanpole. he seems a little more fluid than vickery but that doesnt mean 1 is better than the other. revisit this in 3 years and do a poll.

The way I see it this thread would be a good way to keep track of and compare the players as they proceed through the development stages.

By no means saying one is better than the other, just picking out similar players at similar stages of development to compare.

BF is so fickle. Vickery last year kicked 36 goals as the 2nd forward target in his 3rd season. Lots of people were calling him an upcoming gun tall. Sure he's been in ordinary form but now just 6+ months later he can't even win a poll against Cordy? Facts are he has more runs on the board and I'm confident he will bounce back and be a very good player.

If Vickery wasn't in said ordinary form I doubt the OP starts this thread.

Vickery always looks robotic in his movements whilst you can see Cordy developing into a really athletic forward/ruck.
