Oakleigh v University Blacks - close call but impressed by a few of the Oak fwds

give the premiership to Old Ivanhoe...cant see many teams beating them (bar a fully fit blacks) Cant help but think if they do win it, they'll be back in Two Years anyway? Too many B-Grade teams are like a yo-yo in terms of playing A-Grade up and down up and down

Do some research ox1 - of the A Section teams at the moment I am guessing only 3 teams (Xav Sco & Uni) havent played B section in the last 5yrs. Swings and roundabouts....

OE - Mids aren't OE's problem, its their Spine. Flaherty has been their only shining light. OE maybe bit too tall St.K.

MIO - Different loss of points for St. Kev. refer VAFA Tribunal Hearing. Wasn't an unregistered player that caused the loss of points in this case.

Maxy. Im aware of the tribunal hearing just pointing out the other loss as well.

Im a little with BS on this one but whatever floats your boat.

I can't believe the St Kevins President allowed this to happen????? Ordinary form and as for the President's of Hampton Rovers & Oakleigh, i feel in future you will have to go out onto the field and ensure the players avoid such stupid acts

I realise the people against it are the ones down the bottom (except Oakleigh lads who have taken it on the chin) and now BS who came down squealing. I suppose the realisation of the President missing out on a nice bottle from Mr Taylor does that to you - I know I would be disappointed as I like a nice Red as well.

Your great man Jascave is very supportive of the concept.

I know 2 key people are very keen to win the award, so i have to keep it going for them at least and also that we need to iron out a few bugs so we can keep it going.

As a compromise I will ensure I bold the Cardio Carls Cabernet Awards so this will give you a chance to quickly move forward to the next post without reading it and then you won't know its there.

Believe me, I tried. In keeping with the current Rep season, I started with a squad of 40 names, and trimmed it to a final 22 (though Fitzy trimmed a little further so it's only 20).

I wikipedia-ed and googled him for quotes, but he's just not very quotable.

It got to the stage where I seriously considered writing "it was so easy to jag a goal in the Rovers forward line in the first term, even the Family Guy's Chris Griffin could have saluted". Was never going to work. Other regulars I couldn't possibly sneak in were Kid Boga, Monkeyboy, and Octopus.

I thought I was pushing it with the stuff about Tutto's whisper coming out of the rooms, but everything was condoned by the chief editor, who remarked he hoped the BF crew would find the column worth reading!

Competition very even and top 4 far from set, Carey finally starting to live up to the preseason talk, OI doing much better than expected, OEG gone. Top 4 will be Blacks, OI, Skob, OC. OC and OI don't have as much depth as the other 2 but are more dangerous on their day.
