I haven't seen the original to compare which might change my opinion, but I think Vanilla Sky is a pretty underrated film.

Im another in the anti-Tom Cruise acting camp. Hes not disastrous, he has acting ability...but he just bores me to tears. To use a football term, hes incredibly vanilla. Dime a dozen. Jude Law is the same.

Will Ferrell is number 1 for mine. Apparently shouting things slowly in every movie you do makes you a comic genius? How this guy is so freaking popular goes way over my head. Owen Wilson is the same. Tim Olyphant from Girl Next Door/Hitman is shitfully bad.

I'd like to say TOM CRUISE but the fact is I haven't seen any of his films. When I was a kid I saw a trailer were he was dancing around in his underwear (I think he may have been singing as well) and thought he was an f***wit and stayed away from his films every since. I have been told by about 20-30 people that I haven't missed anything, although he did make a film starring the '80's most gorgeous sportswomen, Katarina Witt, but I was told she only appeared once at the end of the film.

Weird thought, but imagine if he died in the mid-late 90's. Instead of all facepalming every year when he brings another shitty comedy with Kevin James or rom-com with Drew Barrymore out, we'd be thinking of him as a comic genius who was taken before his time.

Glory, Malcolm X, Philadelphia, Pelican Brief, Crimson Tide, The Hurricane, Training Day, John Q, Remember the Titans, Man on Fire, American Gangster, Book of Eli, The Equaliser, Flight.

He was probably better when he was younger, as most actors are. But he is no way, shape or form, a bad actor.

I mean there is Brain Austin Green, 50 Cent, Zac Effron etc... They are bad actors. If you think Denzel Washington is the same league as blokes like that then you sir, are bat shit crazy.

My girlfriend has just told me she is going to watch a DVD with Clive Owen in it. I told her that Owen was a fraud i.e. a crap actor who just keeps being employed because he is well known. We have a few of these in Australia, here's a sample;
Vince Colosimo, they don't make actors like Vince anymore, they threw away the wood, Carlton supporter.
Colin Friels, a great bloke who will tell you himself he can't act at all.(Swans supporter)
David Wenham, this bloke really thinks he is the goods, an appallingly talentless twit who is only redeemed by being a Swans fanatic.
Jack Thompson, the only reason this bloke works is because he was around when nobody else was doing it. (always stoned)
Bill Hunter, good old one note Bill, he might be ok if he could sober up for long enough to read the script.
Later I will give you my list of 'good' actors.

Jack Thomson was never any more than just an actor, but he played good Aussie characters, about as good as Hoges and Hoges never pretended to be a good actor.
John Wayne was pretty wooden I think. The Shootist and The Searchers are about all that he showed up in as pretty good.
Bill Hunter is an exceptional actor.

Needless to say he is easily one of the better actors of his generation.
