[PLAYERCARD]Taylor Walker[/PLAYERCARD], star forward for the Adelaide Crows, had always been a natural on the football field. But there was one thing that had always been a challenge for him: tying his shoelaces. He had never quite mastered the skill, and his laces were always coming undone mid-game, causing him to stop and re-tie them, sometimes at the most inconvenient times.
But then, one day, his teammate and good friend [PLAYERCARD]Rory Sloane[/PLAYERCARD] took notice and offered to teach him how to tie his shoelaces properly. Taylor was initially hesitant, feeling embarrassed that he didn't already know how to do something so simple. But Rory was patient and understanding, assuring him that it was never too late to learn something new.

Rory sat down with Taylor on the team's bench and showed him step by step how to tie his laces, explaining the different loops and knots, and providing tips on how to keep the laces tight and secure. Taylor was a quick learner and was surprised at how easy it was once he had a proper technique.
From that day on, Taylor was no longer the guy on the field with untied laces. He proudly showed off his new skills to his teammates and even began to assist others who were struggling with their own laces. Taylor felt grateful to Rory for taking the time to teach him something that he had been embarrassed about for so long.
And, as it turned out, learning how to tie his shoelaces was just the beginning of a new level of confidence and self-assurance for Taylor, who felt empowered by his ability to learn something new and tackle a challenge head-on. With Rory's help, he had learned that it's never too late to learn a new skill, and that having a supportive teammate by your side can make all the difference.
[PLAYERCARD]Rory Sloane[/PLAYERCARD] was a dedicated teammate who was determined to teach Taylor all the important life skills he needed to know. Another one of these skills was using the toilet.
Rory knew that potty training could be a challenge, but he was up for it. He started by setting up a training toilet in the bathroom and showing Taylor how to sit on it. He encouraged Taylor to practice sitting on the toilet even when he didn't need to go.
At first, Walker was hesitant and unsure of what to do. But Rory was patient and gentle, explaining to Taylor the importance of using the toilet and how it was a big step in becoming a "big boy".
Rory also made the process fun by reading stories to Taylor while he sat on the toilet and rewarding him with stickers and treats when he successfully went in the toilet. He also made sure to celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.
As time went on, Taylor became more confident in using the toilet, and Rory was able to gradually remove the training toilet and move him to the regular one. It wasn't long before Taylor was able to go to the bathroom on his own, and Rory felt a sense of pride and accomplishment in teaching his teammate this important life skill.
A jubilant Walker happy with his progress after graduating from the training toilet.
Teaching Taylor how to use the toilet was just one of the many lessons Rory would teach his friend. But it was a valuable one, as it gave Taylor the independence and confidence he needed to take on new challenges in life.
