Now I dislike Farmer as much as any WCE supporter, but he has never hit KO'd someone behind play. He's done some stupid stuff, but no one in any circumstances deserves to have their nose broken 50m off the ball.

Four weeks is fine with me (plus carry-over/bad record).

Yea you're spot on Pats (except for the dislike of Farmer, I mean how could you?). Some people are saying 'bout the place that Farmer's the sort of guy that would do/has done the same thing. Well that's a crock. He's foolish and a loose canon at times, but he's no sniper. Baker is a genuine, proven sniper (sniper = coward).

Wonder what a public pole would say about this incident and how many footy goers would think farmer was long overdue for a squareup - lives by the sword. Cam mooney is another who plays that way. Someone will inevitably catch up with him, too.

Farmer has belted plenty of players in his time, including his own loved one. Has had anger issues on & off the park. If it wasnt Baker (even though Baker's version of events was accepted by the tribunal) it would have been someone else.

Personally, and I am a Essndon fan, the suspension is probally fair. Whether Jeff has done some things in the past is irrelevant, you can't just go and belt someone becuase you feel like it. Baker has been lucky in the past, not so lucky this time.

A lot of people have brought Jeff's character into question with this incident. But that really has nothing to do with whether Baker should be excused.
A lot of Saints fans crying foul. They are conveintly are looking past the fact that Bake is a proven sniper.
Famer suffered a blunt force trauma to the head plus concusion...... High Impact... was behind play and in Bakers own words the act was intentional... Baker states it's blocking - which is reckless. It was a blind side action - and a cowardly one at that.
If there appeal goes bad for them... is Baker at risk of an increased sentence?

Farmer is no angel when it comes to dirty tactics, but that is irrelevant. We keep seeing posters on this site jump on their high horse about thuggish tactics when they get outrages at dirty incidents conducted by players, but when its against a player they don't like out come the 'got what he deserved arguments'. I'm sorry but that shows that they only apply their ideals when and where it fits them and they have no consistency in their arguments, so they can't be taken seriously.

u guys r a joke!!!!! how can u call baker a sniper? he may be, i dont particularly like him, but farmer isnt exactly an angel himself! i hate st.kilda, bu the decision handed down 2nite was a joke. no evidence apart from a school teacher. no video. even without footage, it shouldnt have even come to this. once baker had his defence, farmer should do what 99% of football players in this country would do and thats agree with bakes (even if it was a furfy) and get on with life.

what is it with u blokes trying to somehow change the way the game is played? that toolhead headland has a bad temper, so he gets away with smashing selwoods lights out because someone rubbed him up the wrong way. does that make it ok for me 2 smash someones lights out because they rubed me up the wrong way? no. that was a joke.

now this, just as bad. farmer reckons he should be different to 99% of the other players in the country and go dob on a player. everyone else agrees to let it go, whats the issue with u blokes?

Just thought you would like to know Farmer, who you accused of "dobbing" Baker in, sent a letter to the tribunal trying to get Baker off the charge. So next time before you accuse get some facts right.
