You need to win within 25 overs to get the double bonus point so the fact Cosgrove blocked out an over to try and help his team-mate get yet another century did not affect it at all! They had no chance of getting an extra point!

Stop being so negative for ****s sake and bask in the glory of yet another win of this rebuilding side! Some people need to find a bad thing in everything.

I can guarantee you that if the double bonus point was on offer Cosgrove would have tried smashing a 6 from the first ball of that over.
 
they still needed 30 runs to win when the Double Bonus Point passed, so unless they had an incredible Over at that time it wasn't going to happen.

Damn good win by the boys.

Brings an extra bit of christmas cheer to this city doesn't it - the Redbacks 2nd on the standings!

What is the limit for single bonus point than? 40 Overs? I figured it was 30 overs due to the 10 over thing and Christian being sent in to pinch hit ...

And of the people on this board accusing me of being one of the negative people is a bit rich ...

Wrong.

We had to get 170 within 25 overs, it was the 30th over that Cosgrove blocked out and by then the double bonus point has passed us by.

It is 40 for the single bonus point.

Christian was sent in to try and get the double, Adcock did tell the boys to ease up though and make sure they win the game. Stupid to send him in in the first place, Cosgrove is a much better batsman and can slog the ball.

Agree there, stating that Cosgrove can't do the job as a pinch hitter I found kind of weird!

But hey, it's Nathan Adcock, very little of it makes sense!
 
Gee the Redbacks have really picked up their game lately - well done.

As for Queensland, what a bunch of tools. Gotta love Kasper's comment when asked to remove his wrist-band - "(I've played) 250 one day games ... I'll sign it for you later" - what an arrogant little pig. Yeah you may have played 250 one day games, but how many of those have been good games. I reckon I could count that on one hand :D

Also having to be restrained by the ump and trying to keep carrying on with it in the media shows how pathetic he is.

Just shows that's he's a wash-up.
 
Kaspa has played a lot more great ODIs than 5....whether he was being arrogant or not!!

Was there, very interesting game, and all-round performance from the lads. Great fielding. Loved it when hopes smashed his bat on the gate on the way off! What sort of fine will ge get!?!?! :thumbsu:
 
the boys are playing an internal Twenty20 at Adelaide #2 tomorrow afternoon/evening at 4pm.

could be a warm one, but some of you may like to get down there, it's something different anyway.

1/39 after 4 overs was a good start. That was as good as it got though. One of the shittest T20 games I have ever seen. Cullens bowling was disgraceful, talk about pies. 0/45 off 4.... :rolleyes:. And our gutless wodner batsmen, dont they know how to have a swing at anything that the NSW bowlers sent down? Cmon, Hauritz and O'Brien bowled 6 between them If I recall, should have been an easy 60 runs there.

Harris dropping that sitter wouldnt of made much differnce, but the Elliot chance could have been crucial. Haddin went on to make 54. Not to mention being rather lucky to not be out bowled...backing out when Harris is as good as all the way through his bowling action....if only we could all do that :mad:
 
Went to the game, was pretty piss poor really. Not only was cullen getting absolutely SMASHED, but I was farrrkken angry because whenever a replay came up they would block it out with big red sign telling us the date and who was playing. WTF is up with that.


SA sport isn't in a good state at the moment, besides out womens basketball team that is.
 
And the music...after every ball??? I dont mind after a 4 or 6, or a wicket. But for a dot ball? Give us a break. STupid SACA have no idea. :rolleyes:
 
And it wasn't even good music. Was pretty lame :thumbsd:. The game didn't really deliver what that KFC add promised. I really wasn't thrilled at all :cool:

I went too. Was really disappointed that the Redbacks couldn't at least make a contest for 20 overs! Thank God it wasn't for 50!

Cullen shouldn't even be playing A grad District bowling that rubbish. How come we couldn't hit Hauritz yet Cullen got smacked to every cm of the boundary rope?? Don't tell me, it was the pitch.

Redbacks rely on far too few to do too much. If Elliott doesn't fire, we're ruted.

Great crowd size, crap atmosphere, crap music, crap Redbacks-and the worst was trying to get out of the carpark after the match. Worse than Footy Park with far fewer cars.

but we're looking for a 5 Over a side match starting shortly.

whether we will get that in is another story.

it could be an interesting game.
 
well South Australia will be fielding first in the 5 Over match. Fielding restrictions will be 1 over.

But the rain has come down again and play is set to begin in about 12 minutes, but it aint looking good for a start.
