hey guys thought i would make a poll. With both players in senior contention to make their senior debut who would you rather in the side if it came down to one player.

Both and I can't choose which one I would want if I had to choose 1

If I had to choose one for this week, it would be Beams, just because I believe he is more physically developed then Rusty.

Having said that, I hope both of them play this week, surely Toovey, Goldsack and Johnson dont belong in the side ahead of them.

is there anough room for the both of them this week? imo beams and shaw will be the ins for this week over johnson and toovey.
Do you expect Reid and Goldsack to both stay in the team? I realise they all play different positions people, don't have a go at me. :p

There is no "both" or "neither" option in the poll.

Same here Espically early in the Season but Hopefully later in the Season Steele is a Regular in the best 22:thumbsu:

You would have to say Beams because of his pre season form. Mature body will help him out as well. Give Sidey a few weeks in the VFL and play him purely in the guts to see how he goes. Should get a go by at least round 5. I hope!

Johnson must be dropped. Reid might be lucky to hold his spot. Bryan should be dropped and replaced with Wood. Goldsack will be lucky to hold his spot after that lame effort. If Shaw is fit then Beams and Sidebottom hopefully will get a run. Not sure about Toovey, might be a case of him or Goldsack keeping their spot

:D

A bit off the track but listening to SEN this morning about GC17 is BEAMS our out of contract player to hand back to the Gold Coast at the end of 2010.

Every club has to give one up. It makes sense although I do like the way Beams plays but we have him for two years then comply with AFL.

Better Beams than Thomas, Pendles, Jack, Harry, Marty, Did's ?

Just something to think about I do not think we will be able to offer Toovey, Stanley Thoolen

We as far as I know are not forced to offer a player and can offer any player we like. I think the rule is that the GC can take any out of contract player from any club but only 1 per club. Meaning the only way GC17 could snare anyone was if A) the club did not want them and was not going to resign them before GC get their pick or B) If the player wanted to move to GC17 or to a different club and therefore didn't extend their contract.
