I share your concerns but they're not going to run with a story this big at this late notice without them thinking that there's a 8/10 chance of it happening.

the hun are pretty notorious for producing misleading headlines or bold predictions about events that are quite far away that they won't get pulled up on. For example with Collingwood they predicted Didak will get the sack in no uncertain terms (it wasn't opinion it was presented as news), they also pretty much reported once Eugene Arocca would quit (about 2 years before he left for Kangaroos).

However there would be huge egg on their face this time, but I doubt it's wrong.
