Bit of an upset today with Sandhurst beating Gisborne

They've got some talented youngsters, I don't think Sandhurst have been smashed yet in a game this year

Yet the are no certainty to make the finals. They lost to South, Eaglehawk and Kyneton. There is more depth in the competition this year due to Kyneton's improvement which is good for the league and I don't think there is any team that is a hot favourite for the flag.

Maybe get ur facts right he was still the coach at the time 8 players played under false names and he allowed it to happen then left a week later and the club was fined

Sorry mate. It was more a question rather than an accusation. Poorly phrased as I figured it was the previous coach who was responsible as if I recall, he played at Eaglehawk previously.

If thats true Eaglehawk have major problems surely the players wouldn’t have had approval from the club to do that. Be interesting to see if there is anything said or done by the Bendigo league as surely there should be implications such as players being suspended or something like that. Does anyone on here no who the players were?

It’s not good for Eaglehawk at all…the players should face some penalty for knowingly breaking rules

Mainly twos blokes is what I was told. But I didn’t get names.
Eaglehawk gave all involved a week off is also what I was told.
I don’t think you can do permits for open age footy. Only for TAC cup players. Could be wrong.

You mean punish Eaglehawk? Why? If players have played without permits and without the clubs knowledge ...

It’s a tough one but you can’t just have a group of players from one club go and knowingly break one of the fundamental rules

Maybe not punish the club but the players have to cop something

They could have got a clearance to Rushworth for a week and then cleared back. At the very least the players should be suspended by the BFL as they are registered players imagine if one of them got seriously injured and no insurance would cover them that would be the ultimate backfire. Just seems to be adding to the problems at Eaglehawk this year things not going well.
