Yep. Of the players you listed, probably Hurn has the best chance of cementing a regular spot. LeCras and Morton would be looking at a small forward/HFF if Army gets dropped and/or Sampi doesn't get himself back together and grab a spot in the side. Matt Priddis played well as well in his few games and may get a run.

I think people aren't comprehending what Brad Moran could be.

From England, he only first picked up a football when he was 16 and was taken at 58 in the 2004 draft as a project player.

He turned 20 late in 2006
He is 201cm
He is 105kg
He broke a draft camp record by running the 20m sprint in 2.78 seconds (faster than Oakley-Nicholls in 2005 and Nathan Krakouer and
Nathan Djerrkura in 2006)

In his first game of senior football he got:
21 possessions, 10 marks, 3 tackles and 10 hitouts.

In his second game of AFL football he was assigned to Nathan Buckley in the second half of the game and kept him to 6 possessions after Buckley had amassed 13 possessions and kicked a goal in the first half. He used his amazing speed to overtake and spoil Buckley's leads from the HFF and perhaps most impressively, he showed an amazing ability to read the play and keep up with a great of the game.

Moran is an extremely confident young guy and has plans to play on a wing at some stage in 2007.

Given the time players of Moran's size usually take to develop, and given his inexperience in the game, Moran has to be the most exciting under 21 player in the game.

Tom Williams is probably the one Dog who qualifies, who we are all hoping will be able to get onto the park at some stage. He's around the 195cm mark, former rugby player who looks a very exciting prospect due to sheer potential. He's very athletic, however not sure if he'll be ready by the NAB cup games. Hopefully at some stage this tear he will play some senior football though.

The main point was I wanted to know who to watch and am sick of hearing Gibbs, Hawkins, (insert teams first draft pick) mentioned 20 times. I wanted to know who to look for in NAB cup.

In that case I really think you should look out for Travis Casserly. He is a HBF or HFF and will definately play in the NAB cup (top 15 for training points so he's an auto selection )

The type of player Casserly is - beautiful long 50m passes, lots and lots of run and carry, very exciting takes players on, is skinny. Some rate him as the best kick at our club and his run will be great to watch.

Skills + speed = good viewing

Ryan Gamble played the last game of the season for the cats, loves taking screamers, and played really well in the exibition match in England, he would be the most exciting for the cats.

From the other clubs, im looking foward to watch both Muston and Ellis from the Hawks. And watchin David Trotter from the roos, to see if he can live up to his potential, in his make or break yr.

It's an odds on bet that Hansen will be a better defender than Glass and any of your established or young KPP in the very near future.

Luke Brennan was drafted in the weakest draft of the last 10 years and was a shock top 10 pick at the time (he was expected to be picked up in the 20s). You can't compare a guy like Brennan to Hansen.

You have to allow people to be one eyed about their players that is what being an AFL supporter is all about. I for one would not swap Sherman for any of those players. Ridicule me all you want but he has done as much as any of them and has the tools and temprement to be a champion. This year I am also taking on Begley as my project player to support and I am not going to hear any argument that he won't be the second coming of Nigel Lappin by this time next year. So the Zebra is a little delusional about Moran - more power to him from my perspective. He is out there making a big call and puting his cahooneys on the line telling the world about it.

I didn't see Moran's game against Collingwood but my old man was there and he has been watching footy for a long time and he said he hasn't been as excited about a bloke's potential for North in a long, long time.

He was using words like Blight and Carey, but obviously following them up with the obligatory "if he is willing to put in the work"

I said I would reluctantly give up Moran for all those players. I rate them very highly, and I am sure they will all be stars. They have done more, they are more much more proven over their junior careers. They would be the safer bet so i would do the trade.

But Moran has massive star potential.

He won't be solid. He will either be a flop or a star.

Think Adam Goodes with much more pace.
