That's a massive statement to make about a kid that has only played 2 matches.

Of course it is a big statement, but the original point of the thread was to identify emerging talent with only a couple of games experience. It is still a big possibility that Moran will be a huge flop - he is like no other player I have seen come through footy.

But you have to understand how massive his rate of improvement has been since arriving at the club. In two years he went from a guy who had no idea where to run and looked completely out of place in intra-clubs, so starting to kill VFL matches and then doing massive jobs in his first two AFL appearances.

If the upward spiral continues - with his size and speed (201cm and holds the 20m draft camp record?!!?) he could be massive in the AFL. Huge upside.

Everyone should be keeping an eye out for this guy. Even if I wasn't a North supporter I would be excited about him.

At Essendon? Nobody under your criteria. I think the only players who are eligible are Lonnergan, Nealge, Hocking and MacKinnon, and the last two of those are rookies. I don't expect any of those guys to be taking the world apart this season, although I've seen good glimpses out of all of them.

From other teams, I'll be watching for Muston, Moran, Varcoe and Douglass. Possibly Warnock as well.

But I doubt any of them will be "superstars" next year.
