Round 3, 2004 vs Essendon- again, despite losing, was a fantatic game
QF 2005 vs Sydney- Great win, hunter's heroics were epic
QF 2006 vs Sydney- great game, even though we lost
Round 1 2007 vs Sydney- another epic 1 point contest, with a huge match saving tackle by kerr on the buzzer
Round 11, 2006 vs Carlton- Another epic comeback
SF 2007 vs Collingwood- Extra time final

Yeah, these, and also Round 10 (I think), 1998 against the Bulldogs. We didn't kick anything in the first quarter and it looked like they were heading to thrash us, but we picked up in the rest of the game and it turned out to be a beautiful, well deserved win. I was reminded of it while watching the '06 Geelong game, which was even better still. :)

I have seen the match many times, surely you are kidding?
Jason Cloke had an unco way of spoiling where he went to upper cut and spike the ball over his head.

He collected edwards head on the way through, didnt intentionally belt him, but he unco style did him in

thanks for the heads up

On replay you can see cloke had eyes for the ball and just ****ed up due to technique issues, but hell what ever helps BACS sleep at night

1. 2004 Prelim: Port v St Kilda - Everything about this match was epic. Ive never seen a more tense crowd in all my life. I could barely take it, felt nervous as hell all week and im just a mere supporter. Would we stuff it up again? We finally got the home Prelim that we wanted, would we choke, or would we live up to the crowds expectations. Ive been to a lot of big games at Footy Park, huge Crows games, GFs etc. yet this was the loudest crowd ive come across at a Football game. The noise, when they showed the Power about to run out of the rooms onto the oval was absolutely deafening. The game itself....Saints break out to an early lead, Port look shaky as ****. God dont let us fall over again. Everyone runs on the field. Port kick 2 quick ones. Tight as a nuns up until 3/4 time. Only a kick in it all game. The last quarter was unbareable. Port kick a couple of early ones including a 55m bomb from Stuey. Saints peg them back. Gav kicks a freak goal from the boundary to put us a goal in front with 5-6 minutes left. Kinger marks 35 out dead in front with 2 minutes left....surely we have it now. Oh no...he kicked it out on the ****ing full....what the **** is he doing? Here comes the Saints...Roo kicks it forward....Guerra running onto it at the back, god not him....BURGOYNE!!! where did he come from? Siren goes a minute later. Head explodes.....we made it....we finally made it. Unbeliveable emotion from the supporters and players. Incredible game of football. Cant imagine something beating that match.

2. 1994 Grand Final: Port v WWT Eagles
The Eagles, unbackable favourites against Port, who had lost to the Eagles by 50, 80 and 70 points (2nd Semi) during the year. Port had broken through for the one win at Alberton a couple rounds before the finals by 80 points. WWT had played just the two games in 5 weeks. Port went through 3 tough finals (including one extra time match in the QF). Eagles were going for 4 GF wins in a row (93 GF + 93 & 94 Night GF). The Eagles came out of the blocks kicking 6 goals to 0 in the first 15 minutes of the match. Hard to come back from here against a fit dominant side. Port kicked the last two to bring it back to 24 points at 1/4 time. It remained at 24 points at the half. Port picked up and started to get on top in the 3rd quarter, though wasted many opportunities but had brought it down to 12 points at the last change. Did they have enough in the legs? Would the Eagles settle and bring it home. Enter Scott Hodges. Port kick 8 unanswered goals in 16 minutes, with Scotty kicking 5 and dishing off 2 others in the most inspired quarter of football ive seen from the club and almost any player in a GF at any level. It ruined a promising AFL career before it began, as Jason Spher (WWT FB) never recovered from that.

1996 Prelim: Port v Norwood
The two traditional rivals facing off in a Prelim. The game was played in terrible weather, with intermittent strong showers and a 6 goal gale blowing directly across the ground, making scoring very difficult. The match was close with only a kick or two in it up until 3/4 time. Then Norwood hit hard in the first 8 minutes of the last quarter, kicking a few quick goals to break out to just over a 3 goal lead halfway through the quarter. Scott Hodges had 3 shots for goal during the quarter, missing all three, including a baffling shot which failed to make the distance from 25m out kicking directly into the strong wind. As Norwood went into defensive mode, Port pushed hard and continued to attack, kicking 2 quick goals by David Brown and Rohan Smith. The game looked finished as Norwood hit the boundary hard. Then a quick snap forward by a 17 year old Tredrea freed the ball and got it closer to goal, Norwood pushed it away but a free was paid to Scott Hodges for a heavy push in the back. 35 metres out, fairly deep in the pocket, kicking directly across the gale force winds. 29 minutes gone, only seconds remaining. Can he kick it? Hes missed easier ones today already. Surely he wont. Nup...we're ****ed, he cant kick that. Would have to kick it with almost zero margin for error. He kicks it....thats gone in.....THATS GONE IN! Incredible! 8 seconds later, the siren goes, Port win by 4 points. A classic SANFL final. It remains the best goal ive seen live.

4. R22, 2002: Port v Brisbane
The battle of the titans. They'd gone toe for toe all year at the top of the ladder leading to the final round showdown to win the minor premiership. The loser will have to play a home final away from home due to the MCG rule. The game failed to dissapoint, a modern era classic. The first half flowed well, with Port breaking out to a small lead in the 2nd quarter, before Brisbane took control and led by a couple of goals at the half. The third quarter, saw Port at their very best. 7 goals (5 coming in the space of 6-7 minutes) to 1 as they steamrolled the Lions and led by 28 points at the last change. Would they hold on? Brisbane were kicking with the breeze in the last quarter. Typically, the champion Lion outfit didnt lie down and took back control of the match, dominating possession and slowly pegging back the lead. With only 3 minutes remaining, the Lions marked deep and ran into an open goal, giving them a lead of two points. Port pushed forward but the Lions rushed a behind. They failed to clear from the behind, the ball is kicked to Peter Burgoyne 10 metres in front of goal, he goes up for a flyer, cant hold it.....Roger James roves beautifully and caps off a BOG display with a snap with 90 seconds left that puts the Power back in front by 5 points. The siren sounds with Brisbane pushing forward, with the ball in midair being kicked to FF where Brisbane hold a 2 to 1 advantage. Huge victory. One of the games of the decade. Brisbane went on to win the flag, Port failed to take advantage of the home final the week after.

5. 2004 GF: Port v Brisbane
The big one. Finally made it. Brisbane with some noticable injury worries. Port with many of their own (Wilson playing with 2 disolcated shoulders, Lade nearly a late exclusion with a back, Tredrea with a screwed shoulder). No big discussion needed. A great game with Port taking control late in the third quarter and beating the giant.

6. Round 17 2001: Port v Essendon
Essendon had lost only 3 games in the last 1 1/2 years and the week before had come back for a miracle win against North Melbourne. They were deemed invincible at the time. Port were coming off being pumped by Brisbane at the Gabba. It was the first match with the new Northern stand at Footy Park being open. Again, a close first half was broken open by an inspired quarter where Port kicked 6 goals to a 17 point 3/4 time lead, kicking 4-5 quick goals with both Tredrea and Guerra dominant. Essendon were kicking with a 3-4 goal wind in the last quarter and many thought Essendon would come home with a wet sail. They levelled the scores with a Scott Lucas goal from 50 with 3 minutes left. The match was won thanks to a big Warren Tredrea contested mark and goal 20 metres out with 90 seconds left. Stuey Dew made it a certainty, kicking a behind after taking a one hander. Though Essendon went forward one last time, their attack was squashed by Ports defence. With seconds left, Bruce Macavaney called it 'the best win this proud club has ever had'. The win signalled the end of Essendons dominance of the competition and signalled that Port had arrived as a finals contendor over the next few years

7. 1996 SANFL GF: Port v Centrals
The last game the PAFC played at SANFL level. Like the 94 GF, Ports opponents were unbackable favourites for the flag. Centrals had beaten Port 4 times during the year, including a strong victory in the 2nd Semi two weeks earlier. Port had gone through an incredible Prelim which tired the players and in the process, had lost one of their most influential players - Darryl Poole - to suspension for the GF. The media said Port couldnt do it, not without Pooley. Port said it would inspire them to victory. It was Centrals 2nd GF in a row, and only their 2nd in their history. It was their time to shine everyone said. The third quarter is called the premiership quarter for a reason, and Port showed it once again slowly working on top after Centrals worked to a lead early in the quarter. Enter Scott Hodges again. The turning point, Robert Schaffer, the big Centrals ruckman had recieved a free kick 20 metres out in front of Ports goal. In a moment of madness, he stood up and shoved over Hodges, forcing the umpire to reverse the decision, gifting Port a match changing goal. Minutes later, Darren Smith took a huge contested mark in the goal square and goaled, taking the margin to 15 points, a lead that it would stretch to 36 points at the finish. Scott Hodges, in another dominant GF display kicked 7 out of 11 goals, as Port ruined Centrals dreams, and finished off their SANFL history in style.

8. R4 1997: Port v Adelaide
The match that would divide a state. Port v Adelaide. The first Showdown. Adelaide were expected to dominate the inexperienced Port outfit, but it didnt turn out that way. Footy Park had never been that packed (despite official figures to the contrary). 5-6 people deep standing room all the way around the oval. Impossible to get a seat unless you got there 3 hours before the game. The tension in the crowd at the first bounce was something to behold. Gav gets injured in the first 10 minutes and goes off. Jameson goes toe to toe with Cummings in the forward pocket, letting fly 30+ punches as Cummings trys to not get hit (Jameson ended with 3 weeks for attempting to strike). Modra takes a speccy in the pocket, but misses. Port worked their way on top in the 2nd quarter, and built their lead to 40 points after Downsborough kicked the first two goals of the last quarter. A famous victory was on the way. Port, with no bench at half time and 2 injured players on the field, weathered a late Crows rush, winning the battle of Adelaide by 11 points.

9. R21 2007: Port v Geelong
Top of the table clash, Port v Geelong at Kardinia Park. For the second week in a row, Port win a tight clash with a goal in the last 5 seconds. The game should be remembered for more though, it was a very exciting, tense game of AFL football. The week before, Port beat Hawthorn in the final seconds, a match I watched at a mates house...the first time id watched a Port game there. We decided to do it again the week after, and were jumping around in fits of elation and laughter as an almost identical finish happened again. Maybe I should have gone to his house for the GF as well.

10. 1990 GF: Port v Glenelg
One of the most tense battles in SA football history. After Port had attempted to enter the AFL during the year, with Glenelg their major opponent in the legal issues that ensured, this was one that again would split the state. The white knight in Glenelg facing the evil demon in Port. Noone wanted Port to win. It was a close season of football. Port had dominated after the AFL announcement with week after week of huge victories. Glenelg were a step behind, but had beaten them in the 2nd Semi. Port had destroyed North in the Prelim by nearly 100 points to bring a face off of epic proportions in the big one. The match didnt let anyone down. The first quarter was filled with punch ups, wrestles, and some classy goals. Glenelg had led for much of the first 1 1/2 quarters, before Port took control with 5 goals in 5 minutes to finish the second quarter. In the mean time, Scott Hodges, who needed 5 goals to break the SANFL goalkicking record, had looked to seriously injured his knee halfway through the 2nd quarter, just 1 goal short of equalling the record. He returned in the third quarter, limping and with a strapped knee. His first shot from 30 out, went out on the full by nearly 20 metres. Minutes later though, he marked deep in the pocket, and goaled to equal the record. He would break it in the last quarter, as Port kicked three quick ones to take the margin out to 5 goals, seemingly a match winning lead. The Tigers didnt lay down, and kicked the last 3 goals of the match, missing some other crucial shots, going down by a couple of kicks. Port had ruined the states dreams again. A famous victory, the last of the pre-AFL era.

This post was entirely too long :D

2)2006 gf West Coast(85) d Sydney(84) - great game still hurts tho

3) 2005 gf Sydney(58) d West Coast(54) - low scoring and niether team played to their best but was a great pyshical contest and close all day breaking a 72 year drought was nice aswell

4) 2005 sf Sydney(56) d Geelong(53) - first 3 quarters were a bit forgetable but the last quarter was just awsome

5)2008 Sydney(121) d Carlton(119) - after starting slowly and giving Carlton a big head start and then copping a few injuries to important players (Barry, O'Loughlin, ROK) to mow them down, get on top and then somehow hang on when we were running on empty was great. ROK was aswome after coming off injured early on.

6) 2005 qf West Coast(69) d Sydney(65) - great intense pyshical game, the start of the rivarly

7) 2006 rnd 15 West Coast (67) d Sydney(65) - great game. Judd and Goodes were awsome.

8) 2003 qf Sydney(100) d Port(88)- every thought we'd get flogged so to take control and dominate prety much all day was awsome, wasn't really as close as the scoreboard says, we had it one all day, but was a great display of footy from sydney.

9)2005 pf Sydney(96) d St Kilda(65) - was a great game for the first 3 quarters with the saints getting on top and being 7 points up at 3 quarter time before Sydney completely overran them in the last quarter kicking 7 goals to none and geting into the gf.

10)2009 St Kilda(94) d Sydney(93) - saints were in great form and to push them all the way was very impressive.

I've only been following AFL for 8 years so here are my favourites from the ones I've seen (some on replay)

1. 1997 PF V Western Bulldogs -
We didn't have a good record in Melbourne in finals going into this game and things weren't looking good early. We kicked 4.11 in the first half and we were down by 31 points at half time and Modra was off with an ACL so we were a man short. We evened things out slightly in the third but we were still down by 22 points at the last change. Jarman kicked a set shot, Smart snapped a goal, Goodwin kicked a set shot from a tight angle and we had momentum. Mark West shanked a sitter that would've sealed it for the Dogs and we got it down to the other end to Jarman who was the hero as he kicked the winning goal with 2 minutes remaining. After Tyson Edwards smothered Chris Grant's shot, all the crows fans breathed a heavy sigh of relief. The siren sounds, the Crows made it. One of the greatest finals comebacks.

2. 1997 GF V St. Kilda - Our first grand final. No one really gave us much chance. The Saints and dominated the year and we only just scraped in to the GF and with no Modra where would are goals come from? Darren Jarman and Shane Ellen. It was a roller coaster for the first three quarters. We took an early lead until Barry Hall kicked 3 in a row to give the Saints a 2 goal lead at half time. We came back in the third and lead by 10 points at the final change. Enter Darren Jarman. 5 final quarter goals secured our first premiership. Shane Ellen was an unlikely hero with 5 goals. A day to remember.

3. 1998 GF V North Melbourne - No one gave us a chance last year and we won but this time, no, no one thought we would come close. North dominated that year and we travelled from Perth to Melbourne to Sydney to Melbourne and back to Melbourne again. A flogging was on the cards. And North dominated the first half but scored 2.11 in the second quarter to lead by 24 points. Had they kicked straight, the game would've been over. We began our fightback through Jarman , Vardy and Smart and led by 2 points at the last change. We sealed the deal in the last quarter again kicking 6 goals to none. Jarman kicked 5 and we went back to back.

4. 2002 SF V Melbourne - It was out home final but due to the MCG rule, we couldn't play it at home. Anyway, one of the great finals of the decade. We bolted out to a 40 point quartet time lead and it almost looked like the game was over. But Melbourne, like they so often did in 2002, started to come with a charge. They came back through Johnstone, Neitz and Yze and lead by 29 points at one stage in the third quarter. The last quarter was an epic. After Peter Vardy missed a gettable shot, we got goals through Matthew Bode, Tyson Edwards, Mark Stevens and a free kick to McLeod put us in front. Mark Stevens the kicked his 4th and we lead by 8 points. David Neitz stood up and kicked his 5th to put it back to two points, Brett Burton sealed the deal with his 2nd. After an epic struggle, we won by 12 points in one of the most memorable finals matches.

5. 2000 Rd 7 V Port Adelaide - One of our most famous showdown wins, we came back from 42 points down in the third quarter to win by 7 points. Ricciuto was the hero with 4 goals (including two in a row to put us in front) and McLeod sealed the real deal by dodging past a pack of players and kicking truly.

6. 2008 Rd 3 V Port Adelaide - One of the most brutal showdowns ever played. Bassett and Jericho were both knocked out and we were a couple of men short but we fought it to the end and won by 6 points. A very brave win.

7. 2005 Rd 22 V West Coast - The battle for the minor premiership was a tight one. We lead for most of the day but it was fairly tight throughout (although the margin did blow out to 26 points at one stage). We held on by 8 points and it was our first minor premiership win and we were the first side to defeat West Coast at Subiaco that year. We lost at the same ground three weeks later but this was still a very memorable win.

8. 2009 Rd 11 V Essendon - A very high scoring, accurate game under the roof of Docklands, it was a great way to celebrate Tyson's 300th. Essendon had lead all day and we stormed home in the last quarter to win by 16 points. It was the birth of Tippett as one of the competitions' emerging star forwards bagging 7.

9. 2004 Rd 7 V Port Adelaide - We had lost our last seven showdowns and we were 1-5 facing one of the powerhouses. How did we do it? was the word going around as Ricciuto, Carey and Johncock starred as we prevailed by 32 points in a massive upset.

10. 2009 Rd 1 V Collingwood - Wasn't expecting to win this one at all but hats off to out guys who gave it their very best. We upset Collingwood on their home turf by 4 points thanks to great performances by Vince, Edwards, McLeod and Goodwin. The next meeting at the MCG however..:(

1993 V Collingwood sounded like a cracker. The game that got us into our first finals series. Must see it.

8. 2009 Rd 11 V Essendon - A very high scoring, accurate game under the roof of Docklands, it was a great way to celebrate Tyson's 300th. Essendon had lead all day and we stormed home in the last quarter to win by 16 points. It was the birth of Tippett as one of the competitions' emerging star forwards bagging 7.

Loved this game, thought it was the best we played all year. Was sitting in disbelief of how accurate your forwards were, goals coming in from every angle.

as you can tell im an old fart

You got the classics - can't argue. (I have 67 as my top).

To choose some plain old H&A games -

1990 vs Geelong at Kardinia Park- what the hell am I doing here? I can see about 5 other Richmond fans. We always get slaughtered down here....... and it was all a dream after that:).

94 vs Hawthorn - the flood at Waverley - howling gale, driving rain, 0 degrees (it felt). We kicked 4 goals and won. Best game ever. If we'd lost, it would have been the worst day ever.

2000? - vs Geelong - the 'Whiskas' game. Smashed em, Richo kicked 6 or 7 and took Mark of the Year, except the TV cameras had the bad angle (yeah, that old story:D).

2006 vs Pies - wet, cold (maybe I'm a masochist) - game over by half-time, Tambo took a speccy. Oh, and Newman broke his leg (maybe not so good after all).

And the worst - 1996 vs Fitzroy - their last game in Melbourne. We won by 150 pts, and it wasn't that close. Sad, horrible day - worse than being thrashed. Really wish I hadn't gone.

1.Essendon vs North Melbourne RD16 2001. Best gaame i have ever seen, Jason Johnson was superb and when Gary Moorcroft kicked that goal to put us in front for the first time i cant remember yelling louder then that at any game.

2.Essendon vs Collingwood ANZAC DAY 2009. Sitting level 1 in the pouring rain and surrounded by pies supporters. After Leon kicked the goal and waved his hand in front of his face the were getting stuck into to me telling me to leave now and such, but i wouldnt budge. Then it happened. ZAHARAKIS!!!!.

3.Essendon VS WCE RD3 2004. Amazing game, Started great then WCE got on top then Hirdy did us proud and won us the game. Props to Marc Bullen for dishing out the Hand ball.

4.Essendon vs Melbourne RD13 2007. Neale Danihers last game as coach, we looked to have it easy and i remember listening to the fat dons guys behind me chanted you got nothing Melbourne, as i thought this game is far from over and they cameback and got up by 17 points late in the game, but we escaped thanks to Scotty Lucas goaling in the goal square.

5.Essendon vs STK RD20 2009. Couldnt go to the game as I had to go to a family party thing for the Aunt and Uncles anniversary, and it was during the speeches i sat at the back and put in my earphone to listen to game, I thought we were shot having 1 person on the bench and about 5 players looking like they were about to drop dead and when Riewoldt missed i jumped up and shouted YES! then i realised i had just interupted my uncles speech and 100 odd people were staring at me.

6.Essendon vs Melbourne EF 2004. Great game, Hille kicking the later goal to give us a thrilling 5 point win. At my school there were about 4 or 5 kids that were significantly bigger stronger than me that baracked for Melbourne, and being the fool i am i continuely taunted them over the loss they beat the crap out of me, as they started walking away I then said 'Hey maybe you might get close to winning a final next year, luckily i teacher was nearby otherwise i would probably be dead.

7.Essendon vs WCE RD22 2007. Hidy and Sheeds last game, it was a valiant effort but we just didnt look like gettin the win, but then came Scott Lucas booting 7 last quarter goals but it wasnt enough as Hird tried to rush a behind Rowan Jones gathered it and booted it home, Staker then kicking another to seal the game.

8.Essendon vs Carlton RD13 2008. Fev played a great game as did alot of the carlton guys. We got about 6 goals up but then came the navy blues boys goaling from every which way, and they thought they had it, but enter Kyle Reimers, after that late set shot goal it was over the Carlton supporters started pouring out of the G as we rained victorious.

9.Essendon vs Sydney RD3 1999. The swans were actually up at quarter time but it was short live as into the fray like a god came Matthew Lloyd booting 13 goals for the match as we ran away with the game. I remember every time an Essendon player bar Lloyd had a shot at goal all the Bombers fans booed. It was sight to behold.

10.Essendon vs Melbourne GF 2000. I dont remember a whole lot about this game but it was a very large cherry on top of a brilliant season, all the hard work had paid off and Hird a very deserving winner of the Norm Smith medal.

I did this on the Geelong board too, but I'm guessing this list would be different from that one, as it's hard to limit it to just 10.

1. Geelong vs St.Kilda - Grand Final, 2009: After having been written off for most of the second half of the season, Geelong went head to head with the team who had dominated the entire season. In shades of the 2008 grand final, St.Kilda should have had the game wrapped up at 1/2 time, but squandered a raft of opportunities. Still 7 points down at the last change, Thompson asked his players if they were doing enough to call themselves premiership players. In a slogging last quarter, Geelong perservered, keeping St.Kilda goalless for the term. Everyone talks about "toe-poke", but the effort that typified Geelong's will to win was Rooke's point several minutes later. Rooke was part of two or three contests, keeping the ball moving goalward, until he finally soccered the ball through for a behind, which put us seven points up.

2. Geelong vs Hawthorn - Round 17, 2009: 28 points down 5 minutes into the last quarter. Both Scarlett and Taylor on the bench injured. Buddy on fire with 5 goals. Geelong somehow managed to pick themselves up off the canvas, kicked the last five goals of the game, and ended up winning by a kick after the siren.

3. Geelong vs Kangaroos - Round 1, 1999: The Kangaroos were hell bent on redemption after their 1998 grand final loss, and Geelong was widely tipped to win the spoon that year. The Roos jumped us early, and had opened up a 40 point lead at half-time. Geelong pegged them back, and actually got about 18 points up in the 2nd half, before the Roos pegged it back to a 6 point margin. Will never forget the Ronnie Burns pass to Simon Arnott in the goal square, who soccered it through for a goal.

4. Geelong vs St.Kilda - Round 22, 2003: St.Kilda had hit a purple patch leading into this match, and everyone was talking up their young talent. Thompson was adamant that Geelong had just as many young talented players as St.Kilda did, and was keen to prove it. In a low scoring match, Geelong ended up winning by 18 points, with a young Gary Ablett kicking 4 goals, and Peter Street, in what I think ended up being his last game as a Cat, had a staggering 47 hit outs.

5. Geelong vs St.Kilda - Round 18, 2004: In the midst of the Geelong-St.Kilda rivalry, the two teams played out a classic in front of a packed house at Skilled Stadium. Geelong jumped the Saints early, but the Saints came back and lead for most of the middle part of the game. In the end Geelong had a crowded forward line, while St.Kilda left there's open, with Gehrig, Riewoldt, Scarlett, Milburn and Harley the only ones in their forward 50. The crowded forward line ended up on top, with Geelong getting over the line by 12 points.

6. Geelong vs Brisbane - Round 12, 2004: The coming of age of the current side. Since the Brisbane-Fitzroy merger, Geelong had never beaten the Lions, and had regularly been monstered by the bigger bodied Voss, Lappin and co. On this day, Geelong won the contested possession count, and ended up beating the reigning triple premiers by 27 points.

7. Geelong vs Western Bulldogs - Round 16, 2007: The Doggies had cleaned Geelong up in the first round, with Johnson bagging 8 goals. Keen on revenge, Geelong blew the Dogs off the park in the first quarter, going into the 1st break 40 points up, cruised in the middle part of the game, only to kick clear again after West targeted Ling off the ball, kicking the last 3-4 goals of the game to run out 75 point winners.

8. Geelong vs West Coast - Round 13, 1995: The 1994 grand final replay. West Coast jumped out of the blocks, kicking the first three goals in about 5 minutes. Over the next two and a half quarters, Geelong piled on 14 goals to 2, and ended up extracting a little bit of revenge on the Eagles, running out winners by 52 points.

9. Geelong vs St.Kilda - Round 5, 2005: St.Kilda was leading most of the day, partly due to some absolutely dodgy umpiring from Goldspink and co, but Geelong ran riot in the last quarter, and ended up winning by 18 points. Shannon Byrnes and Ablett ran riot in the last term, with Ablett at one stage burning past Koschitzke on the wing, causing the big man to do a hammy while trying to catch him.

10. Geelong vs Collingwood - Round 3, 2009: Collingwood jumped Geelong early, and a repeat of the 2008 mauling was on the cards. After Collingwood peppered the goals early in the second term for a return of 0.4, a David Wojcinski running goal signalled the start of an avalanche. Eight goals later, and Geelong had turned a 20 point quarter time deficit into a 27 point half time lead, a lead which they held until the end of the match.

Mine are all pretty recent cause Im not old enough to have seen some games

1. Syd V Gee 05 SF - No explanation needed..
2. Syd V WCE 05 GF - None needed
3. Syd V STK 05 PF - God that was good, everyone wrote us off.
4. Syd V WCE 07.. Can't remember - Played like s**t the whole game and only took the lead from a Jude Bolton free in front of goal.
5. - 10. To lazy so insert any game against WCE. especially finals.

Really wish I hadn't gone.

my worst was 82 gf, we had the game won untill that blonde????? ran onto the field, she started three rows in front of me so i never saw the front, but it looked allright from the rear.

also bruce tempany broke his arm

Apart from no.1 being the standout, the following are in no particular order

1. vs Ess PF 1999. Best ever, I don't think a GF would even be sweeter than this, unless it was a win over the Pies or Bombers in a GF. The Bombers were as arrogant as ever going into this game, everybody wrote us off at 3/4 time, before the man known as 'Kouta' tore the Bomber's hearts apart, will never ever forget leaving that game and seeing all the Bombers fans crying in disappointment, it's prob the only game where I've cried in joy, the sweetest of all

2. vs St.K 2001 rd 20, 2001. We were challenged all day and the Saints were the better side imo until 3/4 time, and then that man again took the game by the scruff of the neck and dominated the Saints in the final quarter, ramming on 8 goals to win comfortably

3. vs Coll rd 12, 1996. Pies were up all day, lead by 4 or 5 goals at half time, were the dominant team, before we fought back and showed some spirit in banging on 11 goals in the second half to overrun them by 3 goals

4. vs Coll rd 12, 2008. It was the Fev show this day, beat at least 4 opponents and slamming on 8 goals to single handedly put the filth away by 5 goals.

5. vs WCE, rd 21, 1995. One of the games of the year, it was back and forth all day and two great sides going hard at it with thousands of cheering Eagles fans creating an unbelievable atmosphere at Subiaco. We fought hard to win by a solitary point

6. vs Geel rd 12, 1995. Again one of the games of the year, the lead changed a fair few times and a great battle between God and SOS was the highlight, Ablett kicked 4 goals in a tough one on one duel and Bradley was superb, we held on by 3 points

7. vs Ess rd 2, 2007. Amazing win against a team that lead by as much as 6 or 7 goals and thought they had the game won, we fought on bravely and Fev showed his class, I feel this was the official coming of age of Fev this day, he gave Fletcher a footy lesson and to hold by 3 pts made it all the sweeter

8. vs Bris rd 8 2001. Not the traditional close game, in fact it was a dominant performance by us, but watching Kouta amount 30+ possession and kick 3 goals against a champion in Michael Voss was a pleasure to watch

9. vs Haw rd 3 1993. An absolute ripper of a game, the game ebbed and flowed all day at Princes Park with us holding on to win by a couple of points in a titanic struggle

10. vs Ess rd 3 2001. No Kouta, no Bradley, no Silvagni, no worries. Against the reigning premiers who thought that they had the game won going in against an understrength Blues lineup, we showed plenty of spirit in the last quarter to slam on 6 goals to overhaul a Bombers side which was still riding high from the '00 premiership

Post 1991 when I can start to remember games I attended...

1. Hawthorn Vs Geelong 2008 GF - No one outside the club gave us much of a chance, but we always beat Geelong in the big games :p

2. Hawthorn Vs Adelaide 2007 EF - Buddy kicks 7, Hodge inspirational, Crawf unbeatable.

3. Hawthorn Vs Richmond 1992 R7 - Dunstall kicks 17.5 against the Tigers

4. Hawthorn Vs Melbourne 1996 R22 - "The Merger match" Dunstall kicks 10, his ninth on the night was his ton, Nietz kicks 7 at the other end, epic night and Hawks hold on by a point to snare 8th place.

5. Hawthorn Vs StKilda 1999 R12 - 63 points down through the 2nd quarter, Hawks go on to win by 13 in a ridiculous comeback.

6. Hawthorn Vs Port Adelaide 2001 SF - Johnny Barker recovers from a first half migrane to return to the field and kick the winner at Footy Park.

7. Hawthorn Vs Geelong 2000 EF - Hawthorn 8th Def Geelong 5th to maintain our dominance on the Cats in Sept, in a nailbiter at Colonial Stadium.

8. Hawthorn Vs Western Bulldogs 2008 QF - Buddy kicks 8, Hawks dominate a quality opponent en route to their first premiership in 17 years.

9. Hawthorn Vs Essendon 1992 R20 - Hawks smash the Dons to the tune of 160 points, Dunstall kicks (about) 13.

10. Hawthorn Vs Carlton 2008 R22 - One of the most entertaining nights of footy @ the Dome, Buddy kicks the ton, Fev falls just short, Hawks smash the Blues by 13 goals! Kicked off a brilliant month to follow the Hawks.

I don't want to write too much so I'm doing 5

1: 2009 Preliminary Final, Stk Vs WB.
St Kilda 9.6 (60) def. Western Bulldogs 7.11 (53)
Two pieces of commentary stick out from this game that I will never forget.
"Jones... Dal Santo... look out Riewoldt hands to it couldn't hang on... Loose Ball! GUESS WHO! IT'S ONLY FITTING!"
"Seven points... Can the dogs do something here I doubt it! Time is gonna beat them. And St Kilda's gonna beat them! *siren* St Kilda into a Grand Final! WHAT A GAME!"

2005 Prelim was sticking in my gut all night and at 3qtr time I was literally saying "Don't f*** up..." over and over again, but Riewoldt's domination saved my nerves from shattering and we were into the first Grand Final i'd be interested in :D

2: 2005 Qualifying Final, Adelaide vs St Kilda
Adelaide 8.9 (57) St Kilda 10.5 (65)
"It's over! The Saints are through to a Preliminary Final!"
Robert Harvey. 90's brilliance relived that night, and it gave me the hope of a Premiership, sadly Sydney had other plans contrary to 2004's Semi Final...

3: Round 6 2004 Brisbane Vs St Kilda.
St Kilda 13.14 (92) Brisbane Lions 14.7 (91)
"Black... Voss... Schwarze now! The Defender! Can run... and from a long way... Roost it! AND PUT THE SAINTS IN FRONT!"
One of the best... only soured by being a H/A game and the whole thing about Aussie Jones' OOTF, but nonetheless brilliant game and a great memory.

4: 2008 Round 16 St Kilda Vs Hawthorn.
St Kilda 18.11 (119) Hawthorn 13.11 (89)
"Can just about run to the 50... Jones give Chase! Magnificent Tackle!" *Crowd Screaming Ball*

Down and out at Half Time, Blake's sheer dominance in the third proved the winner, and we ran out comfortable 30 point winners after trailing by as much as 30 at Half Time with no effort put in the game by us till that point. Great win and gave us a bit more hope for 2008 and could prove to be a part of the catalyst for seasons beyond.

5: 2009 Qualifying Final St Kilda Vs Collingwood
St Kilda 12.8 (80) def. Collingwood 7.10 (52)
"...and the Roo runs onto it! Can he kick a 5th and Ice it? Ice it!? HE CAN! The Captain, you reckons put them into the Prelim!"
While not the flashiest of games, I have many Collingwood fans as friends and they were ragging on all week about how we're gonna choke how they finished the season better yadda yadda... well Roo's 5 Goals put a foot in their mouth, and gave us a Prelim spot, and me... plenty of bragging material :D

Adding another 5 for kicks!

6: Round 14 2009 St Kilda vs Geelong
St Kilda 14.7 (91) def. Geelong 13.7 (85)
"In his ball park GARDINER!"
One of the best H/A games I have seen as it matched the expectations brilliantly! Jumping out to a 30 point lead, when the umpires gave Ablett a dubious free to get them in the game. Game closes in and Stokes kicks the goal to tie late. We almost lose it save for a lucky advantage call, (which was equalised with Milne being held later on), until we move it across, and a certain scumbag roosts the ball high with not alot of penetration ;), and only a crashing mark by the giant ruckman could win us the game!

7: Semi Final 2004 St Kilda vs Sydney
St Kilda 16.11 (107) Sydney 8.8 (56)
My first foray into finals football proved to be a pleasurable one, with St Kilda winning in a rain sodden MCG after being written off due to the game in Round 11 that year, and saying we were too green. But we prevailed easily and I fell in love with finals footy!

8: Round 15 2007 St Kilda vs Adelaide.
St Kilda Saints 11.16 (82) Adelaide Crows 12.8 (80)
I have multiple reasons for loving this game, one it was a hard at it contest right until the end, with the Saints winning in a tight one, but also cos it was the first time I'd seen my old mum genuinely excited about the footy, as she had taken my dad's seat for the night, and watched an absolute cracker of a game. Great memory on both fronts and always a favourite game!

9: Round 22 2005 St Kilda vs Brisbane
St Kilda 28.18 (186) Brisbane Lions 7.5 (47)
Demolishing a team to that extent was a beautiful thing to watch, more so because it was Brisbane the bane of all teams for so long, and to see them be kicked out of the finals race to that extent was simply awe inspiring. Milney's 11 was a jaw dropping performance by a small forward even in that extent of a win!

10: Round 18 2007 St Kilda vs Bulldogs
Western Bulldogs 12.13 (85) St Kilda Saints 12.13 (85)
One of the strangest games I've ever seen, I took my mates to that game just for kicks and we were treated to a spectacle. Sadly I thought the game was beyond us when we were a point down with what seemed like seconds left, until Jason Gram roosted a long ball down the field all the way into Riewoldt's outstreched hands. A few more inches on the kick, and it would've been the winner but sadly it was fumbled over the line, and as the ball was kicked out siren went. And it was a draw. So very odd.

1. 2009 Grand Final v St. Kilda- For obvious reasons.
2. 2007 Grand Final v Port Adelaide- For obvious reasons.
3. 1994 Preliminary Final v North Melbourne- We lead comfortably for much of the mnatch before North Melbourne hit the front in the dying minutes. A draw looked imminent when the scores were tied up with a minute to play but Ablett's unforgettable goal after the siren put us into the Grand Final.
4. 1994 Qualifying Final v Footscray- It was close for the entire match, and we trailed by one point when Billy Brownless marked with a second to play. He would nail a monster from 60m out to steal the game for us.
5. 2007 Preliminary Final v Collingwood- Every time we constructed a decent lead, Collingwood somehow reeled it back in. I nearly had a heart attack when the ball entered Collingwood's forward 50 in the dying seconds with us having a five point lead. It was a fantastic, exhilirating, enthralling match from start to finish and a very memorable one too.
6. 1989 Preliminary Final v Essendon- Two weeks beforehand the Bombers had given us an absolute hiding in the Qualifying Final and went in hot favourites. But we turned the tables and gave the Bombers a footballing lesson, a 94-point walloping, with Ablett on fire.
7. 1994 Semi Final v Carlton- This match was special because we went in with no Bairstow, Couch or Hocking and still got up against the Blues when no-one really gave us a chance.
8. 1991 Elimination Final v St. Kilda- We came back in a magnificent match from nearly five goals down in the third quarter to win by seven points. This match was up for grabs in the dying minutes but we kicked two goals to win by seven points in an excellent match.
9. 1995 Qualifying Final v Footscray- We absolutely blew the Bulldogs apart in the first quarter to lead by 52 points at quarter time. At half-time we continued that trend to lead by 68 points. With the match effectively over by quarter time, we then cruised to an 82 point demolition of the Bulldogs.
10. 2004 Semi Final v Essendon- The Bombers made a late charge to nearly steal the match, but we hung on in a nailbiter to win by 10 points and advance to our first Preliminary Final in nine years.

1. 2007 Round 11 v West Coast - Best atmosphere of any game I've ever been to. Win by 1 point after being roughly 6 goals down just after half time. James Hird starts the comeback out of the centre, Lucas lifts and puts us in front late in last. With minutes to go Hille runs the ball out from the last line of defense under pressure, and Fletch spoils out of bounds with seconds to go to hold on for win.
2. 2004 Round 3 v West Coast - James Hird last quarter... Best I've ever seen.
3. 2009 Anzac Day - Zaharakis!!
4. 2009 Round 20 v St.Kilda - To defend the record against the best team in the comp. Was almost to sick to go to the game, would have regretted it badly...
5. 2009 Round 22 v Hawthorn - The arrival of Hurley, Lloyds last act as Captain, into finals for the first time in 5 years.
6. 2007 Round 13 v Melbourne - Dannihers last game as coach, Lucas puts us in front with 8 secs to go.
7. 2009 Round 7 v Hawthorn - No one gave us a chance against the reigning premiers, the youngsters stood up and gave us a great 44 point win, loudest our fans had been in years.
8. 2001 Round 16 v North Melbourne - The comeback, awesome game but don't rate it as high as other might, due to the fact North had a few key players out.
9. 2009 Round 3 v Carlton - 3.2 goals down at quarter time, no one gave us a chance against the flavour of the month. Paying $8 at that stage, some of the sweetest money ever won. IMO the last truly great game from Lloyd.
10. 2009 Round 13 v Carlton - Watson goes down early, sitting in the crowd I thought it was over, but everybody else lifted and more than compensated for his departure. Put on a football clinic, Lovett and Monfries were sensational.

2009 was a good year :D:thumbsu:

1. Semi-Final 2009 vs Adelaide
Down by 23 at HT, playing hopelessly. No Pendlebury, no Fraser. Awesome turn around in the 3rd quarter and a fantastic finish. It was amazing when the siren went, everyone just screaming and hugging a lot of randoms, so this gets my number one.

2. Semi-Final 2007 vs West Coast
Although against an opposition without Judd/Cousins, it was one hell of a match. Kept Buckley's career alive for another week with an extra-time win.

3. Prelim Final 2002 vs Adelaide
The 3rd quarter was just awesome. Rocca kicking a massive 65m+ goal to get a 3 goal lead and the crowd went crazy. Got us into the GF for the first time in my life, so it was a great game.

4. Qualifying Final 2002 vs Port Adelaide
No Buckley, no Collingwood. Well not the case in this game. Knowbody gave us a chance to win yet we proved everyone wrong. Even with 10 minutes left I remember the commentators being sure that Port would come back at us, but they didn't and we got through the PF giving Bucks a week to rest his hammy. Awesome win.

5. Qualifying Final 2003 vs Brisbane
A close low scoring game until Didak kicked 2 awesome goals from the boundary to get us in front then to seal the deal.

6. Round 9 2005 vs West Coast
First vs last and I was going to the game expecting a 15-20 goal thrashing. We had only won one game in the first 8 games, yet we suddenly turned it on against WC. We put a lot of pressure on them with some great tackles and it was win that got me through the year.

7. Round 20 2006 vs Port Adelaide
We had a great chance to win the game but Scott Burns hit the post from 10m out and Mick went absolutely crazy (as did I). Didak kicked the winning goal with about 20 seconds left and gave it to the Port fans. Burns then stuffed up again and gave the ball to Lade who kicked a point from about 75m and Mick went crazy again. Great win.

8. Round 8 2002 vs Brisbane
Top of the table clash against the reigning premiers and it was a chance to see if we were the real deal or not. 3 point win against the reigning premiers at TD was awesome, the stands were shaking and everything.

9. Round 7 2003 vs Adelaide
Adelaide led by 4 or 5 goals early in the last quarter, but we fought back. Adelaide got in front kicking a behind late and I was sure it was over. The champion Bucks banged the ball forward and I went crazy as Tarrant marked, then I remembered that it was Tarrant so I was sure he'd miss everything and we'd still lose. Kicked the goal after the siren so it was awesome.

10. Round 9 2008 vs Geelong
Smashed the best team in the comp by 86 points and it was good to get a little bit of payback for the 2007 prelim. Also great because the cocky Geelong supporters were certain that they would still come back and win, even at the start of the last quarter.

In no particular order, of our wins.

1. R5 1990, ANZAC Day vs Carlton, Princes Park
FOOTSCRAY 15.13 (Grant 3, Kolynuik 2, Davies 2, Cameron 2, Liberatore 2)
CARLTON 10.16 (Hawker 3, Majerczak 2)

I was at the game, but didn't see a lot of it caught behind a number of tall men (I was 5, so the definition of tall is different). Libba ran riot well before he was turned into the tagger that most of us remember him as.

2. 1985 1st Semi Final vs North Melbourne, MCG
FOOTSCRAY 19.23 (Beasley 7, Royal 5, Edmond 2, Daniels 2)
NORTH MELBOURNE 16.11 (J.Krakouer 3, Glendinning 2, Larkin 2)

Haven't seen ALL of the game, but saw enough footage such as Beasley's 100th of the season, Allen Daniels' famous smother and on the run goal in the 3rd quarter, Hawkins dominates, 7 to Beasley and 5 to Brian Royal.

3. R21 2000 vs Essendon, Docklands
BULLDOGS 14.8 (Kolynuik 3, Johnson 2, Garlick 2, Grant 2,
ESSENDON 12.9 (Fletcher 3, Blumfield 2, Lloyd 2)

The Mega Flood. Nuff Said.

4. R20 1998 vs Sydney, Waverley Park

BULLDOGS 15.9 (Cook 5, Kolynuik 4, Hudson 3)
SYDNEY 15.7 (Lockett 7, McPherson 2, O'Loughlin 2)

Come from behind win after terrible 2nd quarter despite Lockett bagging 7.

5. Qualifying Final 1998 vs West Coast, MCG
BULLDOGS 18.13 (Minton-Connell 5, Grant 4, Kolynuik 2, Hudson 2)
WEST COAST 7.9 (Fewster 2)

Dominant as I have seen in a finals match from us. No let down after the famous final round shootout against North. Simon Minton-Connell doubles his goal tally for 1998 in 1 foul swoop (all from chest marks as usual).

6. R14 2009 vs HAWTHORN, Docklands
BULLDOGS 19.19 (Higgins 3, Welsh 3, Johnson 3, Boyd 2, Akermanis 2, Hill 2)
HAWTHORN 6.9 (Lewis 3, Roughead 2)

I vividly remember the text I sent to a couple of mates who were watching Adelaide vs Richmond at Carrara at half time of the game I was at....."Hawthorn have finally kicked a goal....In the Little League!" I couldn't believe the number of Hawk fans that walked out before half time, not unlike the debacle we had against Hawthorn in the era of "The Mastermind"

7. R6 1997, vs West Coast, WACA
BULLDOGS 17.11 (Minton-Connell 5, Montgomery 2, Powell 2)
WEST COAST 14.15 (Phil Matera 3, Jakovich 2, Cousins 2, Banfield 2, Lewis 2)

After the shambolic display at home against Adelaide not many gave us a hope. Going to Perth to play at a ground where we got spiflicated the previous visit in 1991. Even after losing Jose Romero 2 minutes into the game, Libba did the job on Cousins, Sedat Sir blanketed Sumich, Grant was inspired after a slow start, Minty bagged 5 to silence the critics for a while (4 from chest marks), Stevie Powell's debut, and THAT interview with Wallet in the last minute of the game.

8. R20 2009 vs Brisbane, Gabba
BULLDOGS 15.12 (Eagleton 3, Gilbee 2, Welsh 2, Akermanis 2, Johnson 2, Minson 2)
BRISBANE 12.12 (Drummond 3, Bradshaw 3, Brown 3)

Trust Aka to have the last say, and I was right behind the kick (never gonna miss) that sailed through to basically send over 30000 home in near silence.

9. R9 2002, vs Geelong, Kardinia Park
BULLDOGS 18.9 (Johnson 6, Smith 3, Bandy 2, Brown 2)
GEELONG 17.3 (Chapman 3, Kingsley 3, Burns 2, Ablett 2, Scarlett 2)

Not as massive as the comeback from the previous season, but in the 2nd quarter Geelong were up by plenty and it was the older heads that got us home. Smitty sealed the win late in the last after Johnno kicked his bag. Started a mini season revival.

10. R6 2004, vs Kangaroos, Manuka Oval
BULLDOGS 19.6 (Darcy 3, Faulkner 3, Giansiracusa 2, Murphy 2, Johnson 2, Rawlings 2)
KANGAROOS 18.11 (Harvey 4, Motlop 3, Grant 2, Rawlings 2)

From memory we were 40 points down in the last quarter and came from nowhere to burgle the game. Cameron Faulkner on debut kicked 3 vital goals (and proceded to kick 5 more for the rest of his career). The last goal to put us in front was Johnno bumbling fumbling and somehow getting a boot to it to scramble it across the line. Official attendance was 7000....looked as though it was less than 5000.

I must say I missed the famous 1990 R17 match against Collingwood featuring Steve Kolynuik taking on Graham Wright.

Agree with AussieGun, quite a few of mine will be against the Weagles. Here it goes, in no particular order aside from the '05 GF being my favourite easily. I went to all but one of these games (the Port game was the only one i didnt see live) by the way, seeing tehse games live truly was amazing:

1. 2005 GF Sydney vs WCE. Obvious reasons, seeing my side win the flag in what was a tremendously close struggle. That mark was an incredibly fitting way to finish the titanic match and a great way to get the rivalry really started.

2. 2005 SF Sydney vs Geelong. I still dream of this game and watch the video of the last quarter very regularly. Best individual quarter i have seen from any player by Nick Davis, winning the game for teh Swans by himself. Had not been horrible up until then, winning more ball than just about any other Swan, but having let his opponent Dave Johnson go down the other end and kick a goal, Brett Kirk told him he owed them big time and he payed back the debt. The best atmosphere during a game at the SCG i have ever felt. The joy of the crowd was amazing, hugging strangers and joinining arm in arm with those around me to sing the song. What a September that was...

3. 2002 Sydney vs Kangaroos. Andrew Dunkley's 200th game, at the SCG. A couple of goals down at 3/4 time, came from behind and after a free kick inside 50 against Motlop awarded to Daryn Cresswell with the Swans down by 3, he went back after the siren and kicked the goal to win the game.

4. 1999 Sydney vs Collingwood. Plugger's 1300th goal, unforgettable. The crowd flooding onto the ground and the atmosphere were just incredible. Swans won by 10 goals IIRC as well.

5. 2002 Sydney vs Richmond. At Homebush, farewell to Paul Kelly and Dunkley. 2 greats of the club, one of which being one of the 3 best players to have played for SM/Sydney. Deservedly, they were sent out winners, the Swans winning by 40 or so, with BBBHall kicking 5 i think.

6. 2003 QF Sydney vs Port. The game we were never meant to win. but did. BBBBH kicks 6 and behind a huge first half by the team, we win by 2 goals. Went on to the PF to be right in it at 3/4 time only for the Lions to win quite comfortably after. But the Port game was the biggest of upsets, and damn it was good. Wasn't at this one but i wouuld pay any amount of money to have been.

7. 2004 Sydney vs StKilda. The Saints had won 10 in a row to start the season and were looking just about unbeatable. They came up to the SCG and the Swans stepped up and won just about every position on the field. Leo Barry dominated the G Train and kept him to 2 handballs and 0 kicks, Kirk shutdown Hayes as always, Hall kicks 5, Matty Nicks kicks 4 and the Swans win by 7 goals. Huge upset.

8. 2006 GF Sydney vs WCE. Every bit as good a match as '05 just the wrong result for me. Great comeback from our boys and had the game been 5 mins long, i maintain we wouldve run them down easily. That matters for nought now, but oh well. Amazing game, wrong result, but amazing game. A sub par game from Barry and we would have won it or had the Hawks let Spida go a season earier and we would have won. Again all that means nought now, but it is my opinion. We missed by that much....

9. 2009 Sydney vs St.Kilda. Lost the game, but we won a lot of respect for this performance. Almost knocking off the unbeaten Saints. With a young side and without much experience, we got so close and it was the first week in a 2 week series of games against the 2 best sides in the comp, against Geelong the next week. Both went down by under a goal. Heart-breaking, but it made me so proud to be a supporter of this club.

10. 2009 Sydney vs Brisbane. 3 greats of the club farewelled, deserved a win but couldnt get over the Lions, heart breaking again. Leo, Mick and Crouchy all played well in their last game with Mick kicking 4, Leo back to hsi rebounding best and Crouch charging through the middle during the game. The lap of honour after the game was so emotional, i admit i shed a few tears! Despite the result, will never forget that night when we said goodbye to 3 of greats of our club. One our games record holder and 2nd highest goal kicker, another the man who took the GF winning mark that will be remembered forever, the other an Aker-basher and great tagger. All great feats!

Plus some other Sydney vs WCE games including:
-2005 Regular Season at SCG, Swans win despite dominant Cox kicking 4
-2005 QF at Subi, WCE wins after very disputable free against Leo to Stenglein when Swans had the ball, Stenglein kicks the goal and wins the game. BULLSHIT
-2006 Regular Season at Subi, Swans were in horrible form going into the game, dominated 1st half but got run down...just
-2006 QF at Subi, Swans win with Mick and BBBH kicking 9 between them. Mick's celebration after the game winning goal is one of my favourite images of AFL ever.
-2007 Round One at Homebush, another classic.
