Where was the tirade in the post I just made? There was none. Stop being dramatic. Stay on point please, stay away with the personal stuff.

Again, the point I was making, since you missed it, is that our % has dropped from 94% to 76% in 3 games. Beltings are in no way beneficial for the club. Naturally when you win games your % improves. Hence, I hope we win games, many many of them.
DLB, can you not repeat yourself in multiple threads?

If your target is Bolton, then stick to that thread rather infesting other threads with the same rhetoric

Where did I attack Bolton in the post? I did not.

I was talking about %, and nothing else in response to a poster in this thread noting that Carlton had improved since our percentage had grown to 94%. I was highlighting in this thread we have dropped nearly 20% in the last three weeks, a trend we all hope to reverse.

I have a right to speak on topic.

The 500 posts previous ...simmer down there

edit. It most certainly is not personal let me assure you. How could it be when we are merely responding to words. I dont know anything about you nor you I. Its a forum for exchange of ideas in word. Simply that.

Then forget the last 500 posts.
Even if they annoyed you.
Most post this morning, that made you unhappy, was 100% on topic.
You were in effect telling me to be silent, I don't appreciate being bullied.
Yes, it is a forum, let everyone have a say as long as they are on-topic and respectful.

We were tracking well, then the North and GWS games happened :(

Now we are 1 win - 8 losses with a percentage of 76.4%

I hope we can get it up to 85% (plus). Beltings really are demoralising. Hopefully the GWS game was the line in the sand, no more beltings.

Note, I do believe we have improved over 2018, but it would be nice to get some wins in the 4 weeks to reward on investment.
Yeah you are right. Im still of the belief we have improved even if we have stunk in 2 games this year. I thought we would in a few and still think we are more than a year behind Brisbane since everyone is comparing.

I feel bad in saying this but id hoped over the past 3 years that we had traded murphy. We clearly needed mature bodies and leadership. Even though he was our captain i thought he lacked in both of these.

We arent far off imo. If we had 3-4 seasoned players, our whole team would lift and we would have gotten over the line against the hawks, suns, pies and maybe sydney.

Cripps Data Analysis

FWIW - I love FBI's charts, but I'd like to add that Cripps is better than even what the ratings currently say. This is because he only has 37 eligible games (out of 40) to be aggregated on.

He ended 2017 missing the last 7 rounds. The AFL ratings takes your most recent 40 games from the previous 44 games (to account for minor injuries).

This means that Cripps is currently getting rated on:

2017 (11 games out of a possible 18)
Rds 5-23

2018 (22 games)
Rds 1-22

2019 (4 games)
Rds 1-4

What does this mean? Well, if Cripps manages to play every game, he will actually have big jumps in rounds 16, 17 and 18 this year. This is because he will finally be rated on 38, 39 and 40 games, to be fairly compared to the rest.

If we pro-rata his 37 game average out to 40 games, he'd actually be on 595.7, clear 3rd on the AFL player ratings and only behind Dusty and Danger. Should he hit a purple patch like he's currently in, that would bring him neck and neck with Dangerfield for no.1 spot.

TLDR: We are watching a special player here guys. Over the past 2 seasons, he is the best or second best player in the whole game. And he's only just now entering his prime. Holy ****.

EDIT: I just did a bit more research and apparently only the last 31 games are given full weighting, with games 32 to 40 weighted less via a sliding scale, with game 40 weighted 5%. What does this mean? Cripps will actually reach a fairer rating even sooner than we thought. By the end of round 9, all of his "0 games" will be weighted less, and each week from there he'll be steadily improving until the peak of round 18.

These assessment are on the basis that Cripps merely continues to perform at the same level he has over the past 2 years. I.e. even if he doesn't actually improve from his average of last 2 years, his ratings will improve because of Maths alone. If he continues to improve his output on top of that, his ratings will improve even further.
Just bumping this post as we look forward to watching Cripps climb up the AFL player ratings. Now these are not the be all and end all, but he's now gone up to 6 and IMO will reach 2nd by round 18.

Gawn will stay ahead, but no-one else.

Might just pop this here, averages compared to the most recent rebuilding club, Lions

Lions of 2017, 14 games in - Wins 3, For 83, Against 117, Margin -34
Carlton of 2019, 14 games in - 3 Wins 3, For 71, Against 88, Margin -17

Not scoring as much, not conceding as much. I think those numbers will change with a more attacking style under Teague

Matter of interest, Lions of 2018, 14 games in - Wins 2, For 80, Against 95, Margin -15

Come year's end, predicting we will be a year ahead of this rebuild compared to the Lions

Of course, all we would have to do to follow the path of the Lions is add a Brownlow candidate midfielder like Neale and the best small forward in the comp like Cameron, as well as our own Luke Hodge and a couple of FA like Lyons and McCarthy.

But yeah, if we can do that, then we could totally advance our rebuild pretty fast...

You are only right about the small forward need. We are making our own brownlow medalists (sure some help would be great, please Coniglio), the rest is just depth, which by the end of next year, we will have in spades.
