The series was a win for BazBall as far as I can see. It was poor fielding and rain that cost them in the end.

Winning 4/5 tosses, a magic ball change not to mention Australia's best ever off spinner getting injured absolutely didn't effect the series at all.
Bazball isn't anything cricket teams haven't been doing for 20 years. It's simply tempo cricket.
Some idiot has just given it a marketable name and the ignorant masses have eaten it up.
This puts the West Indies ahead of England on the WTC tableOuch, England lose 19 and Aus lose 10 pts for slow over rates. Over half the WTC points available for the series were docked

What this England team has done in terms of attacking mindset is so far beyond what anyone's done before.

They've won 13 of the 18 tests Stokes/McCullum have been in charge for, having won 1 of the 17 before that. Feels like that's a little bit of an improvement to me.Yep they've thrown out the defensive component and what has it got them?

It might actually work very well on our faster bouncier pitches with very little seam movement. Some people just put their head in the sand.
Saying Bazball is not new and to quote "are showing their complete lack of knowledge of the game".
I think you have to temper it a bit as the pitches were roads and the Pommy grounds are small, but
if you have the personnel to play that type of game, it works.
Will be interesting to see how it goes in India and Australia.
Having said that I suspect Harry Brook may similar have struggles to Joe Root in Australia. The extra bounce makes it difficult for Root to work the ball off the back foot in the arc between third man and deep cover, in the way that he does so easily in England. Brook employs a similar technique to short of a length deliveries. It might actually work very well on our faster bouncier pitches with very little seam movement.
To be fair England was missing their best spinner as well (Leach) and had to drag ol Moeen out of retirement to plug the gap.Yep they've thrown out the defensive component and what has it got them? a series draw at home against a team missing its second best bowler despite having extremely favourable conditions/decisions/etc.
It's bizarre to me that some people seem incapable of giving this England side any credit for their approach to the game and (by and large) the success it has brought them (so far).
Yep. It's hard to praise England after the way they've carried on about moral victories, spirit of cricket, saving Test cricket, bowling to 3 number 11's, etc. Followed up of course with cheaty ball changes, reviewing dropped catches, abusive Lord's toffs, and so on.It's such a shame that their new approach comes with so much baggage and crazy cultish BS from within. That's the thing most people have a problem with - moral victories, the absolute dribble Ollie Robinson was quoting McCallum as saying in his column after the first test etc.
The real proof will be how their results look in 12-18 mths when other teams have adapted.
I am assuming you turned off Mitch Marsh's innings in protest and disgust ?For the 20/20 ten second attention span idiots who only like boundaries and wickets every second ball I can see the appeal but people pretending it's revolutionising Test cricket are showing their complete lack of knowledge of the game.
