The BDo needs to land several big names for once. I understand that there is always always quality bands that go, but in comparioson to late 90's early 00's the string of big name bands just hasnt been happening. I think when the White Stripes headlined, that was a really poor line up. Ditto with last year (except for Rage). I know people will disagree, but thats just my opinion. Anyway, heres my ultimate line-up (considering bands that have new albums coming out, or recent albums out too)
AC/DC - Metallica double headline - could you imagine! ha ha
Motley Crue - ha ha
Slipknot
The Offspring
Disturbed
Gyroscope
Placebo
Cog
Imagine that! Thats a line up of my dreams. Would never happen

Where has it been confirmed?Neil Young is the confirmed Headline act for the 09 big day out
that would be so awesomeOk
Better to say Neil Young will headline this years Big Day out
Confirmation ( to the public) can really only be after the promoters announce it ( but trust me its confirmed) Kaiser Chiefs will also play
And another rumour was Metallica, but this won't happen, they've already booked a North American tour for Jan/Feb anyway.
LOL @ Neil Young... What a waste
Radiohead are as boring as batshit
Please not Neil Young. Would be great if Nine Inch Nails plays but I would prefer it if they did their own tour. Reznor's latest lineup is great from the bootlegs I've listened to. Awesome to have Finck back where he belongs.
what a scoop for the V festivalMy mate who works for a prominant music mag, has been saying for a while now that Weezer will be playing the V festival not the Big Day Out.
