Thought his ruckwork was brilliant, and yet according to AFL.com he only had 3 hit-outs? Anyway a few of his taps were brilliant and his work around the ground was also very encouraging. 8 possessions and 2 goals in a great return. Our ruck stocks look in top shape.

Back to the topic, I though Ivan mobility around the ground was fantastic tonight & usually gave the quick handball to advantage. Capped of a great game with 2 clever goals.

He was sensational. I'd guess they're at least 10 short in the hitouts column.

I was most impressed with his marking around the ground. He got good positions in the ruck duels and kicked truely. Clever first goal, did'nt panic and knew exactly what to do.

His bigger body was not pushed around at all by their rucks. Welcome back!

Not only did he contest well in the ruck but he timed his leap so well and on certain occasions he palmed it beautifully to the midfielders.

And like others have said, his marking was a highlight. A few times I thought to myself how the heck did he mark that? Took two or three very strong marks and he played on quickly and started the run.

Ivan and Griffin are two "superb" tap ruckman with their abilities to hit players on the chest with taps ....very much in the Clarke mould.

Hudson nullify's the contest

Around the ground last night Ivan was magnificent ....sure hands and quick reflex's ....

I have watched his SANFL games and the kids not naturally a fit guy ...in fact his archilles heel is that as a ruckman he doesn't have a great engine ....that's why he needed all the lead-up games.

We really do have some great ruck talent on our list ....Meesen just has me lost AP

The Gun Club appreciated Ivan's game last night. It's good to see him make a solid return to AFL footy after starting his season pretty poorly with Port. It will be interesting to see how Griff goes today for Centrals, our rucks are coming along nicely apart from Meesen.
