It's definitely a thing but it's something that is easier to fix than actually struggling to play there is what I'm saying. All it will take to create that belief there is 1 or 2 results. We see out the Chelsea game 1-1 and that would have been enough to see out today's game 1-0. Or if we see out today's game 1-0 we play even better next time there against Swansea. Instead we've failed both times and are now needing the our 3rd game there to be the 1 where we finally get it right instead of being the 2nd or 3rd time we get it right. The bigger problem for me is no matter how much Poch, the players and some supporters deny it, the fact is this Wembley thing is now not going to go away. The whole media and other supporters will be on it, which will bring unneeded pressure. Even if we win a couple of games comfortably, as soon as points are dropped it will be brought up again. Only ourselves to blame for the performances there last season though.
That equaliser today was probably more damaging than the Chelsea one. Doubly so because we are now going into an international break stewing on it
It was always bound to create some sort of anxiety for the team this season and is why I think many fans don't think we can challenge for the title this season. But it's just about how long it takes to get things right. Perfect world it would have been 1 game in and who knows what we could have done, but that was very unlikely especially with that opponent. I had faith in them getting it right 2nd time around but they've failed that test.
But when you peel it all back all it takes today is one small moment in the game to change slightly and we get our first win there. Kane, Alli or Eriksen make better use of good chances at 1-0 we seal it 2-0. There was 4 or 5 good chances to not even let the anxiety get to the levels it did to concede that goal. So it's not like we are terrible and not looking like winning. And even at 1-0 with 90 mins on the clock it should have been enough but some terrible defending by Trippier gifts them a golden chance which they take. Kane's August issue has hurt us more than we think as he tends to be the big moment guy for us who takes that chance to ease the tension for the rest of the side, yet there he was as anxious as everyone else.
