First 2 are probably my favorite family movies of all time and 3 just completely ruined the franchise. Can't believe they even did a 4th and 4th installment.

Disagree thought Predators at least equalled Predator 2. The Super Predator design was a bit of a wank though.

Now AVP is definitely greater than AVP: Requiem, Requiem was a steaming pile of shit, they finally found a genre that didn't work as an Alien film "Teen Slasher" to top it all off the cinematography and editing were awful and some features of the script just went a little too far, the maternity ward stuff just too much for my tastes and completely unnecessary.

The worst of it was that AVP wasn't even that great a film at least it was a solid effort.

With Requiem I always got the feeling that the directors had an idea for teen slasher but were forced to make the AVP sequel so made the AVP sequel their teen slasher.

In the same vein, GOAL and GOAL 2 were an enjoyable romp with cameos from Shearer, Zidane, Beckham, Raul and a few other legends of the game, and then came...GOAL 3...what an abortion of a film...

The disturbing thing about the AVP films is that at the time a lot of people were going on about Requiem being a better film. Good lord.

AVP is a perfectly ordinary film with a cool concept. Requiem was shot for cats that can see in the dark and finally showed the 'set an Alien film on Earth' horde why it is a shit idea.

I really liked the first Pirates of the Caribbean, but all the sequels have been pretty bad.

HAHA they really tried to mirror the success of the first 2 but they failed miserably. I guess they didn't get it that Macaulay Culkin was the only kid that can play the role so perfectly.

Hey, I last saw it as a kid, and it was popular at the time. I'm not sure how it holds up now, but if you were under 10 years old when the film was released, it was good.
