Honestly can’t remember the last time a team came from that far down to win a GF. 29 points down in the first.

How far back do we need to go to top that? 1998 Crows never got that far behind.

Do we have to go back to 1970? Maybe 1982?

Awesome effort Eagles!

Can't go back any further than 91.

This is the afl not vfl.

That logic is stupid and wrong with no justifiable sense in it. Where does it end? In 1989 there were the same teams as in 1990. The only thing that changed was the name - there was no creation of a seperate league from the ground up.

Since then we have had many more teams join or created, why aren't we restarting the history everytime that happens too? In fact it would make more sense to restart history after a joining/created team than a simple name change of an already existing, yet strongly deserving, league.

Sooner or later we will have a bulk more to join than we had in 1990. We could have some teams even fold/merge and be replaced. Do we restart the history again?

The fact of the matter is, the same league was there before, and it is here after. If a team joins it or is created, regardless of it's name, that is a privelige, not a right.

When you guys win a game interstate. Then I will listen to you.

Eagles just won at the G against a Vic club. Turns out it’s not impossible, even from 2-31 down. Just takes a champion team with balls of steel. Not a team that admitted they were spooked by the oppo fans at the GF parade

That was a strange game.

One team didn't show up the first quarter. Other team fell asleep in the second.

Eerily similar to todays game.

Don't think it got close to 29 points though.

Was 10-29 at 1/4 time, after being 9-9 at one point.

Swans then kicked 6 straight to 1 point in the 2nd.

One from the WAFL, 1955 GF.

Perth led at quarter time, 2.7.19 to 1.0.6 for East Fremantle, but didn't score in the second while Old Easts put another 7.5 on the board.

East Freo then scored only a behind in the third while the Dees scored 5.3, and each went goal for goal in the last with Perth prevailing by two points.
