Had dinner at a restaurant on Lygon after the kids clinic on Tuesday and the owner said he had some players in recently and that he asked them about Weiters injury.
Apparently the players said the club will be ultra conservative and think a round 4 return is likely.
Heard similar... When he did it, fears were it was at the extreme end of a calf injury, but later was 'bad' but not 'extreme' (my words). Will treat conservatively, with a view to a return in the first month of the season.

That's terrible. Will need a new plan for backup ruck. At least with the timing he will be able to hit the ground running for 2025.

It feels like we get at least one every year though most clubs probably do

Carlton forward Jack Silvagni will miss the upcoming 2024 AFL season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

The injury occurred during training today, with Silvagni immediately sent for scans, that subsequently confirmed the ACL injury.
The 26-year-old will have surgery before commencing his rehabilitation.

Mirkov and O’Keefe backing up Pitto and TDK? Young can ruck too

How many players on our list with ruptured ACL injuries. It's really beyond a joke now. Every bloody year!!
