I have said I suspected this was happening a few times now, and today I heard a source within the club has basically advised it to be true

Next year phillips wont be done for the season though, will he? FFS how many rucks do you want? List structure demands that you minimise the number if "one position players"

With Casboult probably gone, more than two and that kid I mentioned is good up forward........unless Harry starts to come on. That is what I said in my previous comment by the way.....only if Harry is not ready (I think he will be more of a forward anyway)!!! Remember that Phillips had this injury in the pre-season so let`s hope it is not going to be ongoing..........FFS

And has there been a virtual handshake/agreement between clubs and players or is this scenario still being worked on?

Adel: (In) Gibbs, (Out) Pick 16 and Pick 18 (from Bris for Cameron)
Hawks: (In) Pick 16 and Pick 18, (Out) 2018 1st round and Sicily
Rich: (In) Hawks 2018 1st round pick (Out) Martin
GWS: (In) Martin and Carl 2018 1st round pick (Out) Kelly and Hopper and salary dump?
Carl: (In) Kelly, Hopper and salary dump? (Out) Gibbs and 2018 1st round pick

Richmond match a FA offer for Martin and get Hawks future first rather than pick 14-15 this year as compo. Then allows them to take Cas as a FA.

Waiting to see how this plays out.
From reports, we would have enough cap space to do this, so is a very feasible way of obtaining top end
talent at a discount. Griffen and/or Deledio are certainly both candidates. Definitely a win/win scenario.
The question is will Tigers allow Martin to go unmatched?

Cannot see any of the senior Giants players getting pushed out for salary like Griffen, Lids or SJ. Who would realistically be a player in that's 2-3rd tier but be on decent coin?

Gibbs to Adelaide
Adelaide give 2 picks to Hawthorne
Sicily to us and ??

Also heard Kelly to Blues is happening in a 3 way deal.

GIbbs to Adelaide
2 Picks to Carlton


Then Carlton would just be dealing with Hawthorn separately. Carlton might be after Sicily and Hawthorn will definitely be trying to stockpile draft picks so it should just be a 2nd round pick at most.

They have played it pretty smart so far, lets see how long that continues now SOS is no longer calling the shots and they are getting closer to success.

I do think there is more to it but not sure what that is. I would suspect a 1st round pick somehow.
We don't have a 2nd round pick this year to give for Sicily and I don't want to give next years as I think we need to save that as I suspect next years trade period will be huge.

Sicily is no better than KJ imo. He's playing in a better program that is allat the moment. No way is he even worth a second pick. I'd trade a very late first for hawthorns second.
