Not that I put much stock in the AFL player ratings, but Gibbs is 46th and Green is 310th... so almost equivalent.

I didn't really elaborate more on the 1 year offer. I don't want to turn this forum against him but in summary he was originally not offered anything and after the season he was tabled a 1 year offer, his manager has asked for a 2 year contract because of his late form in the year which seems to be getting no where.

This is in my opinion based on what I've been told but I can see him leaving and us getting nothing for him at this stage if any other club is interested he prob gets there in draft for nothing.
Can't really blame him 24 year old not getting any security at all with a 1 year deal and is not guaranteed game time.

Personally speaking, I think that if he takes the 12 months, he will be in the starting 22 more times than not next year as the club starts to transition to a more attacking style of play. Especially if we get a mid or two that can support Cripps in winning the ball through clearances. Having someone like Boekhorst on the outside with pace, a few tricks and a good kick inside 50 would be a good thing.
 
Josh green has had an injury riddled season but once he gets back on track he will be a top level player again, 2x leading goal kicker for his club and has atleast 6 more decent seasons in him, Gibbs may only have 1-2, need to think about that plus a third round draft pick who we could trade for someone like Kennedy from gws, I hear sos really wants him so basically if you think about it, it's a win win for Carlton.

I can imagine Green wanting to clear out of Essendon - that team is going nowhere.

You really don't know shit about Gibbs do you. He has been one of the most durable players in the AFL over the course of his career. He would have at least 4 years left in him.

Josh Green would have had to do much to be one of the best players at Brisvegas.

Now... I'll put this as politely as possible, **** off and stop spinning bullshit!
