Motlop would be a good Yaz replacement. Duncan would be an incredible get but I can't see Geelong even entertaining the idea of him leaving.
I posted this in the other thread, but I think its valid given the discussion here:
People need to relax and think about this logically.
For Carlton to announce so far out from the trade period and before the season is done and dusted that Henderson is leaving... it obviously means that we have come to some sort of agreement that we are satisfied enough with to a) announce he's gone and b) pull him for the rest of the year.
Don't be naive to think that clubs wait until the beginning of trade period to discuss this. All signs are pointing that its done.
First round pick is on it's way.
That's logical and likely right but deals can be broken.
Can't sign a player yet but an agreement-in-principle can be executed outside the AFL needing to know.
We signed an in principle agreement with Melbourne for McLean and publicly aired it, not sure if there was any backlash.
Yep.Forgotten about that.
The fact that we've pulled Henderson for the last three games gives further support to there having been a deal done..........we'll see.
Geelong may have even requested it.

...please please please please please...
Why would GWS be desperate for Henderson? They don't know what to do with all their KPP as it is.Why would GWS be desperate for Henderson? They don't know what to do with all their KPP as it is.
Their backline is a bit more bare than the forward line. If it eventuates, I think it would need to be predicated by SOS convincing Treloar to nominate us, and Henderson + maybe our second getting Treloar and their second.
If Treloar doesn't nominate us specifically then you'd think Hendo goes straight to Geelong.
Where has all this talk of Bell wanting out come from. He looks like he has some passion for the jumper. Very very surprised if this was true.
And if treloar nominates us, we have the threat of PSD to use as leverage.Their backline is a bit more bare than the forward line. If it eventuates, I think it would need to be predicated by SOS convincing Treloar to nominate us, and Henderson + maybe our second getting Treloar and their second.

Holy shiz, if MS3 is right I will eat a replica Andrew Walker hat and stream it.
To utilise some recent learning, this evidence is a "Smoking Gun" type evidence to prove the "Henderson to Geelong is a done deal" hypothesis. This validates the idea that Henderson will depart, a necessary pre-condition.
Geelong's stated interest fills a hoop test. They must want Henderson for the deal to have been done.
If Henderson were to request a trade to Geelong this would validate a hoop test. He must want to go there for a deal to have been done.
Geelong having a pick in Carlton's preferred range is a straw in the wind. It supports the evidence, and is consistent with the idea, but does not prove it.
There are no Doubly Decisive pieces of evidence, which simultaneously prove the hypothesis and eliminate alternatives

I think its smart and calculated also by Geelong.
Getting this deal done so early in the piece, then puts doubt into Adelaide's mind, about Geelong now not being able to make a trade happen (given they dont have the currency) - and more inclined to release him as a free agent and get what they can as compensation (1st round pick).
No club wants to keep a player who doesnt want to be there, there is definitely a science to it.
Why is the left nut always less valued then the right one ??
Just curious.....![]()
