If we convince him to stay do we extend he's contract now as well or risk losing him at the end of next season ??

I think if Yazz makes the commitment, we should give him another 2 year extension clause that can be triggered according to performance next year.

Yeah tried them, loved them initially but have gone off them a bit of recent times, pork rashers/ribs have replaced them now !!
Oh very nice.
Good to get some ideas before BBQ season really kicks in.

I think he can be turned around.

I don't know if he can or he can't and unless Yarran is a disruptive and divisive force, we should keep him............Clean slate.

Richmond's second for Yarran? (~pick #33) That alone doesn't even warrant a GAGF :)

Yeah, Tigers fans will be talking of sweeteners in Griffiths........Elton..........another no-name.

Let Hawthorn just come out and offer their first and we'll see what happens.

i'd rather keep Yarran than get a second rounder for him tbh
After the flak we have received in the media about us giving away our talented players I think the club would be reconsidering moving on any more talent for peanuts. I think if we get a really deal for Yarran he will be traded otherwise he stays and we work on turning him around.

Now some of you think we should be giving yaz a contract extension. WTF. He basically bailed on his team mates this past season and as a reward have a couple more years.
I am staggered at this thought process and irresponsible list management.
Forever hoping that someone MIGHT turn it around is the worst possible way to build a list. For example Liam Jones, Brendan Fevola. We shoot ourselves in the foot time and time again. We might as well offer Watts a 5 year deal because he MIGHT turn it around and play like a 1st pick.
Staggering.

Yeah, coz everyone else was so great this season. How did he bail on his team mates? To me seems like he lost all his best mates at the club and struggled with form and injury. Not to mention his other personal issues.

Did you watch a game? AFL is a team game and it requires effort to be a team player. If you don't put in that effort you are letting your teammates down. Therefore he bailed on his teammates.

And as an added bonus - if Yarran is open to staying, Richmond may have to really up their offer if they want him. Would we give him up for pick 11 and a fringe player if they got desperate?

He had one terrible year. He is contracted for next year.

We are not forever hoping he turns it around. We want him to turn around his 2015 form.

Shouldn't be offered a contract unless we see a change of attitude though. Start looking at it around May next year.

When you're down........and sometimes even out............support from unexpected quarters can be a huge help.

That's what we should do. Throw forward all the goodwill and genuine consideration we have. We're not going to get a jet at #33 and Yarran has plenty of time to turn things around.....and he will. I just want it to be for us.

Yep. Pick 11 would be plenty.

I know he is contracted for 2015. But some on here have posed the question of "should we give him a contract extension now so we don't lose him next year"?
I don't whether to laugh or cry at suggestions like that. Now I'm not saying we give him away for nothing, a pick in the 30's is not even close to his worth so bad luck Tigers. But end of 1st round, very early 2nd round this year or next is ample compensation.

I hope we are into Lennon's ear at the moment, we should be. Time to turn the tables on these vultures and start poaching some of theirs.
I can tell you for a fact that Lennon is unhappy with his lack of game time this year and getting dropped for the final.
Carlton has had talks with him/ his agent.
North melbourne also interested

Yarran is contracted .
The heat is all on Richmond after Sunday .
Last year they brought in nothing , can see their supporters getting pretty restless this trade period .
Let's play cards tigers ...

Our list inactivity at the end of '11 was costly imo
