Blues to face Hawks without Judd
Carlton will be looking to make the final four of the AFL preseason cup when it plays Hawthorn at Melbourne's Docklands stadium on Saturday night.
But the Blues will be playing without newly-appointed captain Chris Judd and forward Brad Fisher.
Team-mate and Blues' midfielder Andrew Carrazzo says Judd, who is recovering from groin surgery, is still training hard.
"His training is just of a fantastic level, I think there's no coincidence he is one of the hardest workers, and that probably bears fruits in the way he plays," he said.
"He looked good on the track the other day and hopefully it can only get better from there."
Number one draft pick Matthew Kreuzer may play in place of Fisher who is out for eight weeks after breaking his thumb.
Despite the loss of these players, Blues' 2007 best and fairest Carrazzo says the team wants to perform as well as last year when it won the competition.
"It's a good test against Hawthorn, they're a proven team with what they were able to do last year so I think, we're playing to win that's for sure and any result we can get above board is going to be good for the season proper," he said.
