I think Ben will come out a better person whatever happens. He has already come a long way in a short time. When he started I didn’t think he could string two sentences together but now he has shown the ability to treat the media like a boss. He seems like a nice guy.

Yep, Truck has been all class so far this week. The club has shown desperation and no class.

Yes we need change but Truck wouldnt be in the top 3 on that list. Our behaviour and refusal to back him after the media reported he'd been sacked has put him at the top of the list because his position in now untenable. There is no turning back. He's been made a scapegoat.

The external review should claim plenty of high profile scalps in other departments that should lead to some real changes.

If we miss out on Clarkson and have to do a proper search for a coach it could be the first time in 42 years that we follow a proper process. I dont count Knights or Rutten as they were internally appointed in cloudy circumstances by incompetent management.

Barham as president has not backed Truck, nor has he countered rumours he's meeting Clarkson's party, including himself.

We've left Truck out in the cold. It's pretty poor.
Even if Barham just comes out and backs him as our coach, which he is.

Even Heppell's support was pretty weak.

If they backed Rutten as coach then it would have been as simple as putting our a statement saying we back him as early as Monday or Tuesday. They all have phones they would have all seen the media and know what it can do.
And if they didn’t back him, well then it’s simple - sack him and appoint a assistant coach in this place this week instead of letting him just cop it all week.

It’s more what they didn’t do than what they did.
