The Verdict

Borderlands 2 preserves the best parts of the franchise while also making numerous, much needed improvements to areas like narrative and class skill design. Additional visual customization options would make it better, and the occasional technical issue takes away from the experience, but overall this is an excellent shooter no one even remotely curious should overlook. Prepare to level. Prepare to loot. Prepare to get lost in the hilarious, bizarre and wonderful world of Pandora.

+ Humorous writing.
+ Awesome world.

– Underdeveloped visual customization.
– All of the loot is shared.

i've done the skills for each of the characters to what i think will play to my strengths/make the character most potent for me and it's pumping me up even more for this game!

it's also good cause i've taken a picture of each of them on my phone so now when i'm playing and earn points i can have the ideal tree for me handy and just choose which will get upgraded first.

can't wait to get some awesome loot!

Only played single player in Borderlands 1.

What MP modes are available in B2? I know you can co-op the story, any other modes?

It's only co-op. There is a 1 vs 1 battle system inside the co-op, but there's not much to that (you just melee one of your co-op partners, they melee back to accept and then it's just first one to kill the other in this little bubble area that encloses over you of about 10 metres - loser gets put into a 'downed' state once back into co-op).

No competitive multiplayer.

16 year old on their first shift doesn't know what to do, checks internet and sees 18th, sells game.
Persons show receipt to EB, JB, etc and everyone wins!

Isn't it a steamworks game though, where the requirement to install and load through steam would prevent this? It's not unlocked on steam (I bought the main game and the season pass for $65 and just put the code in Steam) and won't be playable for anyone who has purchased through steam or a steam key, so I don't think so mate.

Would of been quicker getting it from the UK than JB's online store imo,everyone i know that has ordered from them has waited a couple of weeks minimum.
