Deledio is in the same mould as Des Headland, skillful downhill skier with no heart.

The fact that Liam Picken made him his bitch on two occasions speaks volumes to be in terms of the kids heart and workrate.

If we got a priority pick, say we had pick 2 and 4. Id be willing to part with pick.4 for Deledio. Absolute gun he is

Based on what, nothing suggests to me he is a gun. Routinely beaten by supposed lesser opponents.

Kerr dominated against Port only when Kornes was taken off him, beat Picken though

Some of you are seriously undervaluing Deledio though, 2nd and 3rd round picks plus fringe players like Spangher? You can't just bundle crap thinking it eqautes to a qaulity player

a first rounded would be a minimum for him and if we got a PP I'd definitely consider it

Kane Cornes went head to head with him, it wasnt that Kornes was completely off him, Choco wanted him to go and get his own ball and we saw the result. Kornes had alot of ineffective possessions while Kerr ripped the game apart.

Probably a better acount of what happened, however when a tag has been put on kerr in its truest sense ie purely shutdown [not what Kornes was doing] he has seriously struggled these past two years, and his output has been well below that of a very good midfielder let alone an elite one
 
Him and Staker couldnt fit in the same locker room. Both so masculine. Both hairs so tamed and trusted. Both so chizelingly handsome. Something would have to give. If Deledio came in, Staker has gotta go the other way.

Would love him in our team but we would overpay for an underachieving player.

Just say we ended up with Picks 2 & 4, which combo would you prefer

1) Butcher (2) & Deledio (4 + player/20)
2) Butcher (2) & Lucas (4)
3) Morabito (2) & Lucas (4)
4) Morabito (2) & Deledio (4 + player/20)
5) Deledio (2) & Lucas (4)

Tough choice, but Morabito & Deledio would be very nice on the wings. We could easily give up pick 4 + pick 20 or a player like schofield which is quite reasonable. I really wouldnt be surprised if we traded one of our picks for Deledio.

Would do a straight swap for staker but no picks, He aint much chop I dont rate him at all.
Would prefur Armitage from Stkilda before Deledio.
 
I think people aren't giving Deledio enough credit. Fair enough there is some concern with regards to his endeavour. Fact is he HAS beaten the tag more than Kerr has. He is super quick, good disposal, good footy brain and is 22. He can score crucial goals.

Richmond would not entertain anything less than a top 5 pick. Hansen, Staker or Spanger are not sweetners. I wouldn't pick up Hansen even if he was on the side of the road....

I'd have to say its worth it. You are guaranteed what you get. And he still has 8 good years of service to offer.

Barnzy, I must apologise and point out that we don't all think like EA, well very few do in fact. :p However, I still feel we'd have to break the bank to get him and I'm not sure he's worth it.

If this is all true then it's nice to hear we're interested but I can't imagine Delidio leaving Victoria to come here.

Also, I think he's a great player, but we should forget him and do our own thing...He'll cost more than he's worth.

Please can we at least please be realistic.. Of course he would improve our team. So your saying at the moment you would rather J Mac, Rosa, Steinglein, Nicoski and co running around than Deledio. I doubt that.

Very unlikely to want to leave Victoria but if he did i would be all for the club having a crack at him. He would cost an early first rounder IMO and that is probably fair. Whether the club would be willing to part with that is another question.

I wouldnt hesitate to give up our pick 20, I also wouldnt hesitate to give up a young fringe player. Its just that pick 4.... Lids is 22 so that helps his cause allot, and our midfield with A.Selwood (25), Kerr (26), Lids (22) looks a whole lot more dangerous.

The fact is.. you never ever discount a high draft pick midfielder who has shown allot of talent, can also play forward and is only 22. He is in his 5th year... look at the guys like Bartell (brownlow @ 24), DalSanto (best year to date @ 25), Ablett (started to dominate @ 23). Guys like Marc Murphy (22) and Dale Thomas (22) allthough in the draft after Lids are both the same age...

He would also fit in (development wise) with the guys like Kennedy, LeCras, Hurn, Waters, Rosa, Nico, McKinley, (mabye butler), Spangher, Priddis. Who are all around the same age and taken around the same time in the draft.

I think (because of our premiership) we do have a bit of a talent gap between our guys who are 25 and over and the guys who are 18-20. Between the 21 and 24 mark we have LeCras, Kennedy and Hurn who have shown a bit, adding a guy who could be a top 5 midfielder in a year or two to that group might outweight our #4 draft pick....

Why isnt it easy for Kerr to be the best player in a team that has no game?

People who say this kind of thing are incredibly stupid and I'm sick of it. Completley contradicting yourself by being able to say Kerr was good when cousins and juss was around but now that our teams crap he's crap

Kerr hasnt had his head in the right space since he has been the number 1 midfielder, nor has he ever IMO

No one will be giving up first round picks this draft.

Well said Bodazoka. Totally agree. If we managed to get the PP i think getting someone like butcher, scully or morabito with it would be awsome. Then to get Deledio, who is still only 22 yet has the experience and could come strait in to help Kerr and make it harder for opposition teams to choose who to tag. So by trading say pick 4, and either fringe player or third round pick would be worth it imo.
