Now I know I'm going to get my head bitten off because we have tryed brown up forward and it was a flop. When he went forward he was playing deep forward not chf because that is kennedys position last year. This year Kennedy has been playing closer to goals and kicking bags. So thought was try brown as that lead up chf (remember his first game) as he does have a great engine. ATM we have lynch up forward too, but just an experiment that could be done if lynch is injured/left out of the team at some point in the year.

He did look impressive as a forward in his first few games. Not sure where it all went wrong.

Big NO to the OP because:

1) He can't play there anymore, sucks when he tries.
2) We severely need KPD depth.
3) He's the only pure CHB on our list.
4) Has shown previously, very good signs in defense.
5) Our tall forward stocks are fine.

We've got Kennedy, Lynch, Darling currently, Wilson waiting in the wings, Hamp and McGovern developing... I think we're fine with the KPF stocks.

What exactly is wrong with developing him as our future CHB?

He's to weak to play CHF and he's been disappointing at CHB too so I don't think he's in our best 22 anymore.

He's not in what i consider to be our best 22 at the moment. He's cover for brown or emac imo as it stands although it really wouldnt surprise me to see us play glass, brown, emac and schoey in defence at the same time with our history. Interestingly though i still think he's a better player than his brother.

It shouldn't surprise you because it already happened in round 3 2011 against Sydney.

It's about as necessary as putting Schofield on the wing.

I can understand the desire for people to want to find a way to get the best out of a player, but the reality is that sometimes what is best for the player and what the team needs from them are poles apart.

If Brown can't be a KPD then he probably has no future at the Eagles.

Knee reco. Lost some speed and his amazing agility. Man his debut was awesome.

Wasn't it ever. Watched the #15 highlight all time on eagles site, 8 marks & 15 possessions, can remember his efforts very, very well.

But as everyone else has said, we lack players in KPD's and he is the only genuine CHB. And a key position defensive post is as important as a forward, with the addition of Darling and reinvention of Lynch he really isn't need up forward.

The guy has had a horrible run with injures. The agility will return (to a lesser degree) and would be a top shut down run off CHB ala Luke McFarlin. He needs to get the body right, which as I understand is all good bar the finger.

With glass gone in 2 -3 uears. We really have all our chips in one basket in emac and brown in defense. Key position players take time to develop so moving him into a forward line which is over loaded with talent doesn't make much sense.
