Over reaction to 1 loss - they always start like this we always start slow. This is way too early to write us off. This is a thread that can come back and bite posters.

But Wild Bill, didn't you know they hand out premierships after round 1? Most of the posting over the past 18 hours would suggest that is the case.

That's only acceptable if the team starts slowly and has the runs on the board i.e. Sydney.

What have we achieved?

Nothing.

We are becoming like Hawthorn of the early 00's. A lot of fanfare for not much at all.

Sick of Scotts post match interviews. His latest quote " We will hold the players REALLY accountable". It's like when lawyers say "we will STRENUOSLY defend this".
After what happened last year and after 4 years of BS altitude training its time for him to stand down at the end of this year if we don't make the 8. How much more motivation did we need than a Friday night game against the cheats after what happened to us last year.
Don't start me on McMahon and half a dozen other list cloggers that should have been delisted or traded last year.

OH Benny Jacobs.......yes well we were seriously looking at him when Port Adel got hold of him.......and McKenzie year the emphasis was on kicking and this kid can pinpoint his kicks. Time will tell. Our recruiting team isn't bad...its onfield leadership this takes time to develop when there wasn't anyone around to teach them in the 1st place apart from Boomer and he is a (midget size wise on the field and can't throw himself recklessly into an oncoming pack mark)

realistically there are prolly 13 teams that are a big chance to play finals. we are just another of the teams vying for 8th.

I think there are 3 teams ahead of the rest - from 4 to 12th can all beat each other in any given day. We got one in this group that was up and about. Who knows if it was an effect of 2012 doping. Time will tell - let's not judge a loss against a team with a huge ???? hanging over it.

We are closer to 5-8 than 9-12. Week 1 is not the time to panic.

remember it wasnt too long ago that the doggies beat us and i wouldnt be chalking a win against the doggies down just yet.

will be watching the game against WC and if they come out over there like the DEES did against melbourne or Lions against Hawks i would say we are 50/50 at best.

not saying that, just that iam far from confident in posting a win next week, i honestly wish i could share some of your confidence.

remember last time we played the doggies Daw kicked 6 goals, which was pretty much the difference between the teams, i would be VERY suprised if any of the forwards other than LT kicked more than 1 a 1/4 next week.

oh and we lost the previous game we played the doggies.
