Whilst i have wondered where Brad is going with this list, after last Sunday I can see clearly now that we have a plan that is starting to make sense. I believe that this is because of our recruitment of assistant coaches and changes to the selection committee that are assisting to articulate Brad's vision into something that can be digested by our playing group. This along with the natural progression of the group in terms of skills and experience, at the same time, means we are about to flower into a team that was looking through the crack of a premiership window to a team about to step through a window that is wide open. Brad still needs support to develop into his full potential and I would personally like to see him down on the bench for the last 10min of each quarter and improve as a game day coach but he is getting there and if he keeps growing with our player development we will win a flag during his tenure.

I believe

Hey Reacher, you must be kicking yourself that we won.

Hi guys, sorry I've been busy moving house had no computer for a few days, great win by the boys, I even managed to get to the game you'll be pleased to know, impressive turnaround in form 'Jekyll n Hyde'-like to say the least, as I originally said, there was no way we could have won in our 'current form' (of the previous 2 weeks) but we managed to turn it around in a big way, a 100% improvement from the first 2 games, a follow-up win against a top team in Sydney would be a real launch-pad to the year:thumbsu:

Mick Malthouse is probably one of the better examples of the need for patience.
That's true. And I think that Brad Scott certainly brings coaching stability, because there is absolutely no way that another team is going to try and poach him!

**** that. 3 games, 3 wins.

Do you honestly believe we are going over there with a 'why are we bothering, this will be a loss".

Shit thread is shit.

Should be consigned to the dustbin of history, and only brought out on GF day this year when we are at the big dance.

Big dance? Reminds of the time I was in Tassie for work a couple of years back, there was me, a work mate and three chicks on the dance floor.

No room for anyone else, actually one of them brought out a stool to sit on!

Back on topic, no one has suggested we won't turn up and try, just currently I believe Freo has us covered, as I do with Hawthorn if push comes to shove. Also believe Geelong at Skilled is fighting above our weight.

All this can and does change in time.

I don't think we'll play in the GF this year, but I also believe we can match 85% of the competition.

Yay - Firrito is back - we were missing someone who would give away 50m penalties at crucial times in games! Given the circumstance, if we somehow manage to beat Sydney up there, it will be the team's best win in a decade!!!

Spud was very good today. Another arm chair expert that bags instead of supports.

20 possessions...not to shabby. Thank god the season is only 1 game long - otherwise one good game would mean absolutely nothing!

I am starting to wonder if we might have turned the corner. It looks like we may have learnt from the last 2 seasons - in which case all credit to Scott. I still think we need to wait until about round 8 to have a genuinely good idea...but is this our best start under Scott?

One good win interstate and the Goody 2 Shoe Turkey Brigade want to lock this thread. Previous to this year we had 4 years of mediocrity under Scotts. I say keep the thread open just like an employer at Tender Touch. :stern look

I like to think expectations are just unbelievably lofty.

We've never been bottom 4 under Scott. You'd think something the opposite of that would justify this thread, not hissy fits.

I wish BF had been around for the 1980's...would have made for an interesting read.

North winning.
Lachie on fire.
Goldie on fire.
Zondor depressed.

Sacks Scotts.

Correct. While other clubs hit the priority pick roadshow, scott has rebuilt the team while peppering the finals every year. He is doing a great job but people are knobs.
