(1) Players
Positives: Milera, Berry, McAndrew, Cook, Dawson (courage under adversity), Rankine (last 3 weeks)
Par: Worrell, Butts, Rachele, ANB, Borlase, Peatling, Taylor
Disappointing: Thilthorpe, Keays, Rankine (first 6 weeks), Fogarty, Soligo, Max, Draper, Bond, N.Murray, Cumming, Maley, Pedlar, Nankervis
Too early to judge: T.Murray, Edwards, Marsh
MIA: Curtin, Keane, Ah Chee, Hinge
Cooked: Laird, ROB
(2) List management:
Walker to retire
Jones, Sholl, Welsh, Dowling delist
ROB trade with us paying some of his salary
(3) Coaching
Quite frankly, it's been a disaster. The change of gameplan, unable to settle on a forward structure, the use of Thilthorpe, the panicked selections and on game day, the coaches are spectators in the box.
Player development is close to non existent. The spending spree on a bunch of B graders from other clubs has stifled the development of guys like Edwards, while a number of younger players seem to be going backwards.
If we lose to Geelong after the bye, we can just about write the year off and start planning for 2027.
