He's got a big build on him now
Can burst through tackles in a way he couldn't 2 years ago
Does he have the tank to.play midfield?
Think we've come to the conclusion he never will. So better to keep the bigger frame for the few bursts through. Seems to be best coming either out of the goal square or off the forward flank

We have long list of mids looking for time in the middle and wing - on top of incumbents Neale, Dunkley, McCluggage, WAshcroft, Berry and Fletcher.

Rayner in bursts is good enough for us at this stage. He's having big impact just doing what he does best. Around 15-20 disposals and 1-2 goals, 5+ score involvements setting up others.

Sorry to distract everyone from the discussion about Rayner’s Dustin Martinesque performance at the Cattery, but was just curious how the player formerly known as Submarine Morris is tracking?

I know danster was keenly keeping comparative stats between Morris and Fritsch last year, so I can only assume he is still doing so.

Shaping up to be a beauty. Hindsight is always a wonderful thing, but reading up on him again this arvo, he did plenty as a junior; 30+ goals in both 2022 and 23 Coates Talent League seasons; standout games in both the u17 and u18 National championships and some senior appearances. If he was 196+ I'm sure he would have been considered top 10. But his lack of height and running power meant he was always considered a second or third round pick.

if Sam Darcy is Tom Hawkins Logan Morris is Jack Riewoldt

Shout out to Logan Submarine Morris who was apparently better than Kozzie Pickett by some posters. Oh oh oh dear.
Sorry Dan, I think Logan has left Kozzie behind.

ok, just checking in to see how Rayner's been going. Yep, another predictable. 14.3 touches a game, 0.7 goals, 2.6 tackles, 2.6 marks.

He's basically Aaron Cornelius and Marco Paperone but went at pick 1. Bust.

Can't wait for his next 'pop' game that magically erases months of scrubby performances.

Game, set and Match Danster.

Danny I absolutely love the Cornelius and Paperone references. That’s the sign of a true lions fan! Glad to see you on board.

How good has Cam been these last few months. Has been an excellent year.

And submarine Morris! Wowee! What a superstar! Do you have some revised stats comparing banana fritter and submarine Morris this season?
