Both talented ruckmen and both players have had about the equal amount of impact at AFL level at the moment, but which player do you rate higher. Cameron Wood or Robert Warnock.

Wood will be a decent ruck, but not too much else. Better than a Fanning/Bryan type though. The Pies just don't have any top-shelf quality in their ruck division. :)

Robert Warnock has done a bit more in my eyes atm, but Wood is a good young ruck prospect that is capable in a few more years, to be the Pies' no.1 ruckman, which will allow Josh Fraser to do bigger stints for the Pies in the forwardline....

The problem with Fraser in the forwardline, is that he's terribly slow off the mark, and so can't be used as a leading forward. And at ground level he is shocking. He'll be able to exploit a situation where he's caught one-out with a small opposition defender, but the massive rebound-factor of playing him in the forward 50, will cost big time. Cloke is really the only quality KP forward on the Pies list. Rocca is fast approaching retirement. Rusling is a 189cm flanker that can run fast in a straight line, but not do much else, that the Pies call a KP forward, which is a joke. Reid is meant to be a KP forward, but watch the guys kicking. It is a problem. A huge problem. :)

welcome back Parrot. How was the holiday?

Who's Cameron Wood, i've never heard of him, what clubs he play for? Collingwood? If so then Warnock is far superior, i think that Warnock will be the next big thing. He plays like Cox but he's a better contested mark and about 5cm taller but still has the ability to move around the ground easily. Warnock will probably be the dominant ruckman in the comp probably in 2010 and for the next 6 or so odd years after, absolute star in the making would not surprise me if Sandilands is backing him up at the start of 09.

So is Cloke's but you called him a quality KP forward (a testimate to how good he is that you conceded that).

IMO there isn't much wrong with the technique of Cloke and Reid. Watch Cloke's kicking in general play, it is very good. I think he just gets a case of the nerves from set shots. This will change with experience.

Oh dear. So in your opinion, Warnock is better because Wood plays for Collingwood? Brilliant logic.

That is Fraser's greatest strength.

Rusling will never be a key forward. Rocca and Cloke are at the moment, and in the future Cloke, Reid (who will be quality) and Dawes will be the key forwards. Rusling will be an excellent 4th option. No one every said he will be a KPP.

Do you actually realise what you are saying?

How can someone with those attributes be taken at number one in a draft, amazing.

Because Penis....I mean Parrot, says so.

no it's because Warnock is already as good a ruckman as Fraser Collingwoods number 1, so i figure he is far superior to some backup.

Getting a bit ahead of yourself there hey. Just like in 2007. How's Tazz going?

Tazz is great he just can't kick and didn't have a pre-season last year, Warnock will be heaps better then Frasser by mid-season by the end of next year he will probably be in the top 6 or so ruckmen if not higher. Obviously everyone who's voting for Wood is a Collingwood supporter or haven't seen Warnock play
