Can Hawthorn succeed while ignoring the elite end of the draft? - Part 2

Can I have some clarity from posters actually invested in facts regarding this thread.

Put simply isn’t the thread asking, ‘How are Hawthorns investment in Mitchell, JOM and Wingard looking?’

Unless I’ve missed something it is indisputable we have absolutely dominated with all three. Unless of course people are counting Scully for a fourth rounder, because if they are it’s an even bigger win. Or perhaps The General for a 4th rounder who has done a hammy sadly but all in all looks fit and might perhaps surprise.

Again what am I missing. Impey maybe. But that’s a massive win too.

Confused ???

Crazy Clarko has pretty much succeeded Crazy Vossy in the art of destroying a list. Desperately clinging to the last remaining threads of a successful era by filling the side with older, top-up talent. We all saw the path Brisbane followed after that 2009 trade period...

Hawthorn's talent pool in the 18-23 age bracket is just god awful compared to most clubs.
It's horrendous.

It's pretty to hard to live with the exhorbitant price paid for Wingerz.
Wingerz was supposed to improve the Hawks midfield, last night clearly shows he's not up to the grunt work.
Actually, he looked pretty feeble up against the likes of Danger Gaz etc.
We reeped the benifits of him choosing the Hawks, we kept our pick 7 and got Bailey Smith.

It's horrendous.
Mate you are one of three personas

1) So stupid you cherry pick a poor game by Wingard to argue our drafting of one of the games most capable players was wrong (assume trolling but here is a hint, troll yeah, but have a point and be funny otherwise you’ll be suspected of having a brain injury)

2) You’re just kidding see above

3) You mean it. Can I recommendhttps://www.precisionhealth.com.au/

Thats the thing with people like you, when people have an opinion that is negative about you're club, you call it that stupid word trolling. You have experts on the TV coverage saying the list has no good 22 to 26 year old comming through. And looking at you're teams list, I do think it's horrendous now, wait for the next couple of years when they are being bottom 4 for a few years in a row.

Hawthorn has as good a core group of players around the age of 25-29 as any team in the competition.

The Hawks will have a good hand in this years draft. Plus a ton of cap space to spend with a lot of retirements coming up if they choose to trade in some players. It’s not impossible for them to regenerate the list without completely bottoming out.

Most of the top 20 players this year will be taken as f/s & nga.

No its not and I don't have in interest either way, but I think their list is Lacking in up and comming stars compared to Carlton, Gold Coast, Bulldogs, St Kilda, Brisbane and Port to name a few.

I wasn’t talking about youth. I’m well aware the Hawks 21 and under is one of the worst in the competition. There’s no shying away from that. I was specifically talking about the Hawks core group of senior players.
