Hill had 37 @73%, 553m gained, yet he wasn't that damaging against us today. I'd take hendo's game for us over hill's game for freo.
Hill was BOG for mine

The supposed death of Hawthorn is premature imo, although while i think they can return to finals next year and beyond, i'm not sure about their premiership chances.
They've had a few close losses this year and a few other unlucky ones where they likely would have won if not for in-game injuries.
Tom Mitchell back is a huge immediate addition next year. A big if, but they will be a transformed team if guys like Wingard, Gunston & Breust can return to form. Scully may improve from his injury. Then if they could nab someone like Coniglio everything changes again.
However their bottom 6 is pretty poor and may hold them back from being genuine contenders. Not all that impressed by some of the younger players they've been cycling through like O'Brien, Brand, Glass, Nash, Morrison, Hardwick etc
They do seem to need another big key forward though. Mitchell developing but still young & raw, Roughy about to retire. That's about it.
As already stated.... Hardwick. FMD.
Saved.Haha, 0% chance sweetheart.

Played in 3 flags though. How many will he play at in Freo?
Jake Niall agrees.Nuts eh. If we get Coniglio (big if) and keep our top 10 pick then we’ll be ok next year.
Jake Niall agrees.
"In clubland, Hawthorn are viewed as the favourite to land "Cogs'' if he leaves, partly because of his relationship with old WA mate Jaeger O'Meara and because, unlike the Blues, they have a senior coach in place for 2020 and that coach has considerable cachet.
It is fascinating that the Perth clubs aren't considered to be contenders for Coniglio this year.
Coniglio alone would not provide quite the prop to Hawthorn that Dangerfield provided to a mid-table Geelong after 2015. But he would still be a game-changer for a club that has chosen to renovate, post 2016, rather than undergo the more prolonged pain of a rebuild.
As it stands, the Hawks will have a pick in the top 10, potentially as high as six or seven – a rarity for them in the Clarkson era. They should also be able to snare midfielder Finn Maginness, the son of '80s and '90s player Scott Maginness, with subsequent choices.
To bring in Coniglio, while infusing the list with a high-end draft pick, Maginness and probably GWS's Jonathon Patton (who is contracted but expected to seek a trade) would see Hawk hopes soar; they would hope to contend again, if not next year, then shortly thereafter, considering that Tom Mitchell will be back next year."
He racked up a heap of the ball, but wasn't able to cut through the defense very effectively imo. Not saying he did anything wrong, just he wasn't able to kill us like for e.g. fyfe was in the forward lineHill was BOG for mine
Patton will be the biggest key with how I see it, Coniglio will be the better player but with what Patton brings to our structure it be massive. Patton would take a defender off Lewis and stop the double and triple ganging him, Nash though not a great mark would still demand a tall defender this would mean Gunston is getting potentially the oppositions 4th defender a lot of the time, throw in Wingard and Breust and we're looking dangerous. Not to mention Moore and Hanrahan as exciting potential.Jake Niall agrees.

This post should be sticky to the top of the thread so everyone has to read it.You can't be " ignoring the elite end of the draft" if you never have picks at the elite end of the draft. This thread is full of supporters of clubs who would benefit if Hawthorn gave up and tanked.
Now limit it to stagnating second year players

only 3 score involvements and 1 goal assist from 37 touches. I wouldn't say he was super effective, but thats just me.Hi sliced through us and delivered in a way our own forwards would have been drooling. Was smooth.
I get the vibe Morrison's inconsistent year is more a product of playing a utility / plug-up role at the moment as his best role is being taken by older, more experienced players (wing, HBF, run-out defender). He's also pretty young at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a leap next year if Smith leaves (and he has a better opportunity to play his first-choice role). He's an awesome outside player in the ressies. However their bottom 6 is pretty poor and may hold them back from being genuine contenders. Pick up that bottom lip mate, the thread always goes quiet from opposition fans after a couple wins.Did it not occur to you that this page is nothing but Hawthorn supporters?
That idiot Gralin thread-banned most of the posters questioning Hawthorn's list management for "trolling", while overlooking just about every Hawthorn supporter doing exactly that, particularly the resident no-life Abasi.
This thread is just a Hawthorn supporter hugbox now. All threads related to your club might as well be while Gralin moderates with an iron fist.
Naturally an idiotic Hawthorn supporter like yourself wouldn't know. Gralin protects you and threadbans those even remotely critical of your list management.Pick up that bottom lip mate, the thread always goes quiet from opposition fans after a couple wins.

Even after your team's bad losses, it's still mostly Hawthorn supporters because there aren't many neutrals left who can post here.
But, boy oh boy without Gralin it could be 4 figures.213 pages of people s**t canning our list management...
